Nice Light Jacket

5’7” 150lbs athletic body type, M fits on the money. 2 Chest pockets is good! Easily hold my IPhone XR and the other my ski pass. Slash side pockets easily hold my cat tracks. Pit zips work well!

Awesome Shell

This is an amazing shell. It is packed with features that are extremely useful. Well constructed with quality materials. Fits well and is easy to layer underneath. Wore it all day to football game in upper 30s and was toasty warm the entire time. Looking forward to more outdoor adventures this winter in this jacket!

Well designed, functional shell

This jacket is a very well designed shell that works great as a top layer for Alpine and Touring skiing. It has an excellent layout of pockets and features including a detachable hood, left arm pass/handkerchief pocket, and vents. I got the Dark Citron color which is much nicer and less yellow than the image on the website. The only drawback is that the fit is a little small, typically with a jacket like this I prefer to have more room so I can wear up to two layers depending on temperature and wind.

Best price point for the features!

Just got this jacket, and while I am a Mountain Hardwear junkie, this jacket is blowing my expectations. I’m 6’2”, 200lbs and the size large fits like a champ with plenty of room for base and mid layers, without feeling cramped or loss of range of motion, and doesn’t look loose or sloppy when only wearing a t-shirt underneath. Plenty of really roomy pockets, and the adjustable hood can be cinched down without looking funny. Comfortable fleece lining around the collar, the thumb holes make sure your sleeves don’t ride up and keeps the draft out. You’re not going to find a better, Recco equipped jacket on the market. Definitely removes the anxiety of backcountry riding and hiking when there’s the potential for avalanches. One of the reasons I continually buy Mountain Hardwear products, they stand by what they make, their customer service is a 10 and I will be a lifetime buyer of this brand.

Great replacement for my previous favorite Mountain Hardware jacket

Love this jacket. Replacing a 17+ yr old Mountain Hardware shell with many of the same features that finally lost it's waterproofing lining, that was my previous favorite harsh-weather jacket. I was happy to find this, with many new features that I loved in my last one. Already extensively used during Denver's blizzard of the century two weeks ago and was great. The sizing change a bit, my last MH jacket was a M, this one the L fits better. I do wish it had a waste-sinching adjustment, rather than just a hem-sinching string. Or maybe a slimmer cut. But that's because I'm thinner and usually use this as an all-weather shell throughout the year too, so I'm often not wearing too many layers underneath. Arm length and shoulder size were great. The hood is definitely sized for a helmet, still trying to figure out best way to sinch it down for non-helmet use and keep it out of my eyes; wish it had a vertical adjustment at the back of the head, to pull the visor up a bit on my forehead.

Highly Functional

I'm 5'10" and am super satisfied with the overall length of the jacket and the sleeves which are a generous length. I feel like I can reach up and out without the sleeves riding up my arms. The jacket is comfortable but is more fitted than my snowboarding jacket. I'd certainly recommend!

great ski jacket

This is a great ski jacket. Very high quality with lots of features: pockets, powder skirt etc Please note that it runs rather large. I am 5'11'' 180lb and had to order medium as large was way too big. I just wish they used a little bit of gray fabric to go nicely with gray snow pants

Different color zippers than photo

I just received this purchase in the mail. The fit and quality are really good. However I ordered the dark zink as pictured and it came with bright orange zippers. Not a huge deal but it would have been enough for me to order a different color at least.

Below expectations product

Description didn’t matched the receive product. Quality seemed fine but below expectation for MH products. Finally, size small was way too big compare to other small MH products purchased. Item was returned because of that.

Excellent shell

Great shell, solid wind stopping fabric works great with thumb holes and snow skirt to lock out all drafts. Good number of easily accessible pockets, roomy enough for my big phone and extra hat or gloves. Love your gear!
