Awesome midweight jacket!

Absolutely loving this jacket. Lightweight feel, mid/heavy warmth. Fits close but not constricting. Range of motion and flexibility are excellent. Perfect alone, under a heavier layer, or a wind/rain shell. Pockets are secure and large. Hood isn't bulky. Reasonable wind and drizzle resistance. I plan to spray with a fabric waterproofer. Packs well also. Additionally, I have long arms and the sleeves actually come to wrist unlike most. Usually i have to get XL to get the right arm length, but then the body is oversized. The large fits incredibly well. Worn form 25-60*F for a mile walking commute in wind and drizzle with no discomfort.

New Favorite

I ordered a size large and it is a little on the snug side of the spectrum for a large but it's not too tight. I would describe it as an athletic cut. For reference, I'm 70" 195 and have a 43" chest and a 34" waist. The sleeves are a little long (which seems to be an OR thing) but it's not weird as it keeps the sleeves from riding up when you stretch your arms over your head. It regulates your temp very well. I've worn this in temps from the mid-20s F up to a breezy mid-60s day sailing and it was exactly what I needed. The jacket fits perfectly under a Large OR Hemispheres shell. I've been very happy with this purchase.

A Nice Midlayer to Have

I've had this for about a week now and I've worn it consistently out in sub-freezing temps here in Pennslyvania. I would say that this jacket would be fine alone to keep one warm until about 45-degrees. Lower than that and it starts to get a little chilly. However, this jacket is an awesome mid-layer to have. I personally like how soft the fleece inside is. I pair this with my MH Ghost Whisperer or my OR Superstrand LT Hoodie and the two usually can last me pretty close to 0-degrees. I look forward to taking this on some mt. climbs out west this summer and expect it to perform well.

I would buy this item again

Use this hoody through out dry and wet conditions on forest hikes, MTB as a layer in windy conditions fits over helmet and over a head nice.

Great fit for materials and use

I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, 43" chest, 36" sleeve, wearing size L. It fits great. The sleeves ride up my arms about 4" when I bend my elbows to 90 degrees, but because the stretchy material doesn't bind, this isn't a problem. It just fits over a thin baselayer, like t-shirt thin or less. The hood is fitted like an actual hat or balaclava, but tall enough that it also fits a helmet- great. Designwise, there are some extra seams and overlays that don't enhance the function and add bulk, and the stitching is a little uneven on the cuffs.

Comfy and great for everyday wear

Warm and soft fleece, good athletic cut (not boxy, this is nice and reduces drafts), comfortable to wear for everyday activities. However, a bit lacking for more technical pursuits. I find that when fully zipped up there is still a lot of gaps around the neck, creating drafts, so I have to put on a buff every time it gets a bit chilly. My other OR mid layers never did that. Also, this is not a super compressible type of fleece. But if you don't need to pick it small, it is great to wear and provides good warmth.

Great in any setting

This jacket has gone with me just about everywhere that I've needed one since I received it. I've used it around town as a casual layer as well as on both local hikes and backcountry trips. It does a decent job at cutting wind and a really good job at retaining heat. I've found it to be slightly loose fitting, offering great range of motion during activity but without looking baggy or snagging on everything around me. Combined with a solid hard shell over the top this thing will keep you extremely toasty even at a dead stop regardless of wind / rain (I've used it in temps as low as 30F with and without a hard shell) I look forward to the next cold season so I can see just how comfortable it is in lower temps than what I was able to put it through so far. I'm 5'10" 175lb for size reference, I use a size large.

Love this top. Just like the vigor but twice as thick..

I've had the vigor series for a couple years now and just this winter i saw the super vigor. Since i work at the cold weather survival school in Alaska, i spend a ton of time out in the -10°/-50° zone.. most often between -20 and -30.. this top combined with an outer shell and a thin next to skin layer has been perfect for an active day outside in those temperatures. Love this top.

PARK RANGER APPROVED

I originally bought one of these for my Advanced Wilderness first responder course (where it was being taught was in the Adirondacks in January). Thought another layer would be a good idea. However, I bought a few more. These are the best fleece, semi windproof layering pieces I own. The thickness of the fleece is the perfect amount!

This Thing is Great!!!!

I wanted a fleece that can take some wind on hikes and adventures along the very windy rocky mtn front, and does this fleece ever deliver!! The outer layer does a great job of repelling wind. Cant say enough about how comfortable the inner layer is and the fit overall. Hands down new favorite hoodie.
