It Solved My Problem
I needed a 10 speed Shimano shifter to redo the drivetrain on my 'hybrid' bike. I already had the cassette. I just needed a shifter and rear derailleur. REI had the shifter, but didn't have the rear derailleur. Shimano is completely changing their drivetrain lineup, so not having the rear derailleur was perfectly understandable. I found a "leftover" compatible Shimano rear derailleur nearby. I installed everything on the bike and now I'm all set.
Just be aware you will not get what is pictured. There is no gear indicator window. Shimano is confused and said to me "You are correct the M5130 shifter does not include an optical gear indicator as shown in the picture nor is it an option for that shifter. Not sure if that will be an option at some point in the future but currently we only have the one version which you received. Thank you bringing this to our attention and for your inquiry."
