Comfy, slim, not too bulky, warm

Really comfy. The wide waist band is easy and comfy. The ankles are slim and not bulky like many xc ski pants. The front panels are soft and warm and don't feel bulky. The full zip is nice, though the zippers are the only slightly bulky part. This is the second pair of Swix xc pants I've bought, and they don't seem to have figured out lighter softer zippers. The back and ankle fabric is thin, and that's the reason it's not bulky. I'm short and bulky ankles suck with boots. These slim ankles fit very well either in or outside xc ski boots or any boots. Worn them for xc skiing and for just being active outside in 30-40°F. They don't make me overheat.

Comfy, but the ankles are awkward

These pants are super comfy and have kept me warm without overheating in temps down to the mid-20s (with a midweight base layer underneath), but the ankles almost make me want to return them. The zipper makes the ankles too bulky to fit comfortably in a boot, but they don't have enough stretch to go over the boots, so you're left unzipping the pants a little, which leads to them unzipping themselves more as you move. This, of course, leads to snow in the boot, which no one wants. The zippered front pockets arent super functional. But hey, they're purple.

Comfy for fall weather

I was looking for pants with full leg length zippers... that were comfy, colorful and warm. I really like the elastic band/stretch material around waist line. I wanted a fit that looked a bit tight but didn't feel tight. These pants allow good movement but do not feel baggy. I live in cold climate, so wearing these with wool underpants is perfect for outdoor activities.
