Finally, the perfect pant!
These pants are so comfy, I want to lounge in them. I purchased them for AT skiing, which I give them a 10 out of 10 on performance.. here’s why. They are sized appropriately to be worn with a base layer, the full zips are most appreciated on the exhausting climb, however they are warm and dry enough to keep me cozy on the downhill. I’m telling all my friends!!! Oh, and they are far less dorky looking than my other xc ski pants. I’m 5’8” and finally have a tech pant that doesn’t run short! Thank you Swix, you nailed it!
should’ve sized down
These are great - I’ve been xc skiing twice with them and they keep me warm and dry with just long underwear underneath. I bought a medium based on my hips but should’ve gotten a small - they’re way too big even with pants underneath, and also too long. I’m going to keep them and get suspenders. Also one of the zippers is broken so I have to be careful not to zip all the way down, but I’m going to make it work.
Finally! A versatile, stylish XC pant!
I purchased these for skate skiing and winter running/cycling. At 5’10”, 170 lbs, the large fits perfectly. I love the extra length, and the full zip makes them great for temperature swings. I wore them on a warm 55 degree day on my skate skis, without a base layer, and they were perfect. I also could just put on my sneakers and drive home afterwards without looking dorky. Thank you Swix!
Design unfriendly for short people
These pants are going back. The problem with these pants is a design failure. I'm 5'3", and XC ski pants are usually too long, which is fine if they have a rubbery ankle that sticks to your socks and stays there, or have some kind of gathering. These just open right out, no rubber, no elastic, and there's no way to make the ankles stay up, so I can see them getting caught on ice skates and skis. I'm not even gonna try to trip myself to find out. If I were to let the fabric gather at the ankles, it's also bulky because of the material and a stiff zipper, so gathering a lot of the fabric above my boots does not seem comfortable. While the full zip is nice, I have XC ski pants with much softer zippers, so no thanks I'll look for something better. This brand doesn't do it, but I find brands that say, we Scandinavians have long legs, kind of rude and uninclusive. They're exporting a product out of Scandinavia and are obviously not just selling to Scandinavians. Other people have short legs, and we just won't buy their product. Duh.
Great pants but….
Love the pants just what I was looking for but…. the back of the pants are already piling up only wore a few times don’t know why it would do that too bad as a ski instructor I need stuff to hold up!
Comfortable
These pants fit me well. The fabric was light weight and did not feel constrictive. I could pull them on and off easily without unsnapping them. I think they will be easy to layer under them. I think they will repell the snow easily.
