I've had these for 3 months to wear in my work shop with a concrete floor. They are comfortable and breath well and I am extremely satisfied with them. No regrets. On concrete floors, my other hiking shoes made my feet tired because it felt like I was standing on the lugs rather than the whole sole. The soles/lugs on the Danner 2650 are softer than my other hiking shoes and are comfortable on concrete floors. The leather and rubber toe box offers impact protection for the toes in my shop. I need less protection than steel toe shoes but more protection than the mesh toe box of sport shoes. I have not worn them on a trail and cannot compare them to the stiffer soles/lugs of my other hiking shoes (Vasque, Oboz).
Awesome hybrid so far. Kept the larger of the two sizes I bought. Definitely weather proof. Lightweight and didn't really have a break in period. So far just use on local trails. I'll update after my two big trips of anything worth noting. I'd just buy em. I'm a big Altra fan but they don't have any true weatherproof stuff it seems so this has been an awesome solution.
Wonderfully comfortable for a big man. I'm not a hiker but prefer hiking shoes for the support they provide. I have wide feet also. These have been comfortable from the moment I put them on. I may get a second pair just because they are so comfortable. I highly recommend them.
Laces really are way too short, but the worst problem is the midsole; it's so soft it compresses just while standing, and it feels super unstable while walking. Granted, I'm a pretty big guy (6'1", 260lbs), but still, I've never had this problem with any other shoe I've ever had.
Size 12 was too iffy and 13 was too big. Look Like nice boots.
Great hiking shoes and perfect for working in backyard
