Almost 5/5 stars

So much to love about this jacket - pit zips, chest pocket and two hand pockets (like a jacket should be!), adjustable hood, and a nice neck form. It’s lightweight, and a decent cut for a rain jacket. Have used in rainy weather and it’s held up very well. But it’s on the longer side, I’m 5’4, and it almost covers my entire butt. Sometimes this is a win but I’m also a bit wider around the hips so it’s a wee bit snug around there, and not like a “chic loose” as pictured on the model. Going up a size was then way too big in the top. Might just be an individually specific issue. I’m normally size 28 in jeans, weigh 145lbs, and landed on the small.

So far so good

This jacket is very windproof, lightweight with room to wear a heavier layer underneath. Good size hood. I use it for cycling and cross country skiing. I have yet to test how waterproof it is, but it has taped seems so it should work well.

Spot On Design

This is how a rain shell should be made: pit zips, two zippers on the front, high pockets that are above the backpack belt line, highly adjustable hood, made from effective cloth for protection from the rain, cut to fit a women’s body, accurate sizing. It took some urging from me to convince my partner to accept me spending $$$ on this coat but the first time out in a driving rain fishing for Steelhead on the Oregon coast made her a believer and a Black Diamond fan.

Wanted to love it, but .....

The features are excellent. Breathable and waterproof. Double front zipper to make it easier to sit. Vents, etc.. Its just so disproportionately long in the torso & sleeves. I'm 5'8 & wide in hips. If I sized down to an XL, its too tight. Unfortunately the XXL is for someone with much longer arms & torso than I possess. Sad to say.. its a fail for me.

almost

Have to agree with others. Light weight and comfortable but runs large. I usually wear M, but could probably get away with S or even XS. And WHATS WITH THE SLEEVES? They go past my fingertips.

Jacket in Fig color

This jacket is incredibly thin and lightweight but lives up to its description and abilities! Keeps me really warm! Cant wait to get hiking in sub zero temps with it to really test it out!

Design flaw on sleeves

Would be a perfect shell jacket but the sleeves are unnaturally long. Major design flaw with how long the sleeves are.

Lightweight, durable, breathable and actually

Lightweight, durable, breathable and actually waterproof. Checks all the boxes you could need for a shell.
