I’ve bought two of these for myself and two for my son. Vented, inner lining, but not insulated. Ample pockets and adjustments. I wear them ‘sized up’ for freedom of movement and airspace to help with warming or cooling, as needed. My go-to pants for backcountry and in-bounds, too.
I have worn them ~5 times and then the crotch tore open, and while I'm not averse to some ventilation sometimes, this is not what I wanted. Pros: they fit well, are comfortable, adjustable Velcro waist, belt sleeve in back in addition to belt loops. Water resistance was good enough for the short time I had them. Design was very cool looking (which we all know is the most important thing) Cons: material durability is questionable, I ski trees and the branches were leaving more abrasions than other pants I own. Not insulated, but you know that when you buy them, so wear tights, nbd.
Lasted 1 season and probably wore them less than 20 times. The crotch has ripped. They have below average water resistance. Since I bought them in Oct of '21, now I'm stuck with them. They also ran big. I'm 5'9", 197 with a 32 inch waist and bought medium. For the price, I had better expectations.
Not many bells and whistles. Just a straightforward pair of pants. Two hand pockets that are fairly shallow and won't hold much. There are two inter leg vents with mesh that are nice but no other venting. Fairly form-fitting with a little bit of style. I'm 6'2, 185 lb and the medium fit me well.
Good resort pants, if you buy them on sale. Not worth $200 retail cost (at that point, just buy gore-tex), but I've owned several and they're definitely worth $120, which is easy to find on sale a couple times per year. I've owned several pair. Not very breathable, but it's no problem on-piste. They're very warm even without insulation, and they have leg vents. There is no stretch. The fit is relaxed/kinda baggy. Good pockets, good velcro waist adjuster. Generally pretty tough but I do tend to tear up the bottoms of the cuffs/gaiters after a couple years of riding the chair with my snowboard resting on them.
I was very disappointed with the build quality of the pants. I used them for winter hikes as well as a backup pair for skiing. Within the first 5 uses the snow pants were no longer reliably water proof, and by the end of the season I tried multiple times to re-waterproof them to no avail. If you want better snow pants I'd recommend spending a little more and getting a pair that will last more than 1 season
These would be great pants if they weren't so long. Not everybody will have this problem, but if you are around my height (5'9"), you might want to reconsider. Pants overall, however, are warm, light enough, have great pockets. Just too long.
Nice pants, insulated but not over-warm. Wore them with a base layer snowshoeing overnight trip and kept me warm but didn’t overheat. Freedom to move.
I ditched my prior ski pants after getting soaked in a warm weather blizzard. These new pants were warm ( the high was typically 10degrees Fahrenheit) and waterproof, with a comfortable fit which allowed unimpeded movement. They allowed access to my ski boots and seemed well made despite 8 days of all out skiing.
I loved the pants. Very lightweight, super mobile, and acted as an outstanding shell. However, they started to tare and fall apart after only 35 days. I had to return them. I was super disappointed that they didn’t last. I would still recommend give the pants a try! Mine might have just been a bad pair!
