Really Great Pants

I purchased these to replace my 15 year old no-name brand snow pants that pretty much fell apart. I used these in Banff for a 4-day snow trip in -20 to 0 degree weather and they performed great. They kept me warm with a basic 200 weight wool base layer. My only minor complaint is they were tightish around the upper knee lower thigh area in the front. However, I am 5'11 at 144 pounds so I bought a small to fit my waist and it's possible that lead to the tightness. However when I was hiking and snow boarding I didn't even notice. For the price, these are a solid buy, and I'd get them again. These will last me for another 15 years.

Bizarre fit with seams squeezing upper legs inside the pants

Like the last reviewer, I purchased these pants for an upcoming cold weather trip in size L. They look fantastic but it seems the insulation is constructed as two untapered "tubes" inside the pant legs and it feels like there are incredibly tight, uncomfortable cords or seams constricting you upper legs. It's the strangest fit I've ever encountered in a pair of pants and a major design flaw. Such a shame as they're great looking pants. Also, the pockets were basically unusable due to the cut and overall fit. You can't really even force your hands into them without a ton of effort. I'm 6'1" and fit.

Stylish Yet Restrictive and Too Tight

Like other reviewers before me, I was excited about these pants because they look awesome and seem well-made. But man, wearing them is another story. They're super tight around the waist and thighs but fit okay everywhere else. Makes no sense, especially if you're trying to move around outdoors. Wanted to love them for the style and quality, but they're just not comfortable for actually doing stuff. I am 6 foot tall and athletic build.

Fit is small

Should have read the existing reviews. As always Mountain Hardwear makes a quality product, however, their fit is not always on point. These pants run very small. Not remotely close to the size chart recommendations. Had to return.

Poor

I was very hopeful about these pants, as they look great in navy (Large size, I'm 190 pounds). The outer shell material feels good and is robust. However, when I tried them on there is an issue with the stitching on the rear seams inside the pants. Wearing them it feels like a drawcord is tensioned across both legs at rear top, so very uncomfortable, and this fault runs up the front pockets making them impossible to access. Disappointed Mountain Hardwear let this through their QA systems

Good first impressions. Fit well and feel quality.

Worn for one day skiing so far at the small local hill, initial impressions very good. The pockets are a good size and all have zipper cuffs so they feel secure. They fit well and feel durable. Usually wear 31x30 pants and got the medium short size to leave room for layers. The only thing missing is a velcro strap or some way to tighten the waistband. You'll have to wear a belt with these unless the sizing is snug enough.

Perfect Fit, one major drawback

The fit is extraodinary for this type of pant. Quality is solid. Only complaint is that there's no dexterity in the knees at all. The fabric has NO give. If I try and raise my leg enough to step up a stair, it pulls at my knee cap. Not good for outdoor active lifestyle, but good for walking on sidewalks and sholveling snow.

Great Quality, runs a little small

Great quality. They run about a half-size too small. Just enough to keep me from getting my knees up high and to pull the waist down when I sit. I would size up.

A bit tighter for a medium

Good quality as always but the medium size is a but tighter on the seat and waist compared to my other medium sized Mountain Hardwear snow pants.

Nice pants, a bit on the small side.

Good quality and seem like they will last. The fit seems to run a bit on the small side, not great for layering and a bit restrictive.
