This is a great lightweight flannel. It's pretty warm, but not too thick. The snaps are very secure, in fact I'm hoping they loosen up a bit over time. I'm actually worried about tearing the fabric with how hard I have to pull. Sizing... this is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs. Most XL tops fit me perfectly. It's like I'm the guy they make 'em for. The sleeves on this shirt go down past my hands. Not a big deal, I usually roll them up. The length is a bit long, but it's not a dress. I don't mind having extra coverage when reaching up. But the overall volume is the issue. This fits like a 2XL.
Bought this to use mountain biking in cooler weather, with a light base layer underneath, and it works surprisingly well for blocking wind. Size runs a little small. I normally wear a medium (5' 11", 175 lbs.) and a size large fits perfect. Might have to buy another!
Excellent for colder seasons, comfortable and loved it
Excellent quality shirt. Love the snaps. Fits true.
I usually wear a US size XL, but with cycling gear you never know if a company is using Euro sizing, in which case I have to size up to an XXL. Because one reviewer, who bought an XL, said the sleeves were too long (something 6'3" people are looking for!), I decided to order an XL. I'm 6'3" and 245 lbs. The shirt is really nice, and it's made out of what I would call a medium weight flannel. The shirt fits me well--except the arms are 2" too short. The sleeves are the right length if my arms are hanging at my side, but when I reach overhead or forward towards some imaginary bars, the sleeves ride up my arms. The one thing that a non cycling company has to ensure when they make long sleeve cycling shirts/jerseys is that the sleeves are longer than their regular shirts. Flylow failed. Flylow should have bought some cycling jerseys from Giordana/Ornot/etc. and measured the sleeve lengths for different sizes. Check out the black plaid Giordana flannel top that REI is also selling. The XXL Giordana plaid jersey fits me a little snug in the body, but the sleeves are perfect.
Great quality and soft fabric. Warm, but not too thick or heavy. Well fitted. Only downside is the cuffs are a bit too small to have sleeves rolled up and covered by the cuffs.
I tried on a lot of flannel type shirts, and this was exactly what I was looking for. It's high quality, and very comfortable.
Very well-made shirt. I wear it around the house as well as when I go skiing very versatile.
