Pros Great R-value Cons Rather large when compressed This air mattress surpassed my expectations. Spent a weekend winter camping in my North Face VE-25 tent in moderate temperatures (15F-20F) with my gf and it was super warm and comfortable. It’s width and length were perfect for two people to “cuddle sleep”. M 6’1” 200lb F 5’8” 130lb, neither of us ever rolled off mattress and had enough room to (carefully) roll over without falling off the mat. The self inflating worked great. The REI specs are spot on. This is a large mat but very warm and well worth it for two average/slim people. Would highly recommend this product.
Not a detail guy, sorry. I’m 6’0, 180. Used this in November on 3 week hike on the AT. Some cold damp nights. Bottom line, I stayed warm and dry - and my bag didn’t slip all night, like mist air mats. A++
On the first try, the valve failed to keep air contained. I had to pump it up during the middle of the night to refill the lost air, and within another couple of hours the pad had already deflated and left me with a sore back. You might save about $50 compared to other mattresses in this category, but you also do NOT get a pump so you're blowing through an open hole on the side of the pad, which is extremely inefficient and inconvenient. The bag that comes with this pad is of poor design and quality and will likely rip easily. There is no shoulder carrying strap, just a cheap nylon sewn handle on the side of a cheap quality bag. NOT recommended. Spend a little more to get much better quality. Saving this little on this category of sleeping pad is not worth the inconveniences. Also, as a rule of thumb, and in my opinion, if a manufacturer has to include a repair kit in the product by default, it must mean that the quality of the product has proven to have failed many times before with many customer complaints. Think about that too.
The mat itself was comfortable & warm when I first got it. Thats when it held air. The valve went bad after 2 seasons of use and now it does not hold air. Would like to know how to get a new valve.
Sleeps like my own bed! We have found these pads to be amazing. We are warm and comfortable all night long. They take up a lot of space in the car when rolled up, but very worth it!
Bought it over Black Friday. It is my first sleeping pad. It’s held air with no issues and inflates pretty fast on its own. Very comfortable to sleep on.
Super comfortable and warm mattress!!! suitable for motorcycle trips will help to restore strength a comfortable sleep.
