Decent First Quilt
I bought this quilt to see if I would even like using a quilt. It's a good jumping off point, and I've enjoyed using it so far. The way it attaches to the pad seems a little flimsy and kept coming unattached at night. Definitely not for colder weather. Worked for around 65F for me.
Decent for the price; not good for tall people.
Used this on a boundary waters trip in September. It kept me warm enough with my layers on, but I couldn't use it wrapped around my long Exped Dura 3R. The squared shape of my pad doesn't work well with the tapered pad pocket and makes it even shorter; I'm 6'4 do it only came up about to mid chest. I ended up using it more like a blanket with a foot pocket. I'd say only buy this if you are under 6ft with a regular length pad, and it should work out well as a quilt.
So thankful for this bag
This bag is very similar to my sleeping situation at home and I'm looking forward to using it when camping. During the initial testing phase, I could feel that the bag was warm and it allows for ample movement under the quilt (which I like). An area that I would prefer to have improved is that this bag isn't very soft. Ideally, I would like it to feel like a soft down bag. Very happy with my purchase thus far.
Comfortable at 40°F
This was my first quilt to be added to my five sleeping bags. I used it for car camping because I find regular sleeping bags to be too restrictive for comfort. I am in 5’ 9” and found the length just right. I was comfortable down to 40° Fahrenheit wearing just base layers and a thin ski mask. I really like the material which is a tougher nylon that should hold up for a long time compared to my backpacking sleeping bag bags. I’m not afraid of this one getting dirty since it is synthetic fill and I can wash it easily compared to down. This crate a lot of room in the foot well. I’m surprised that these are on clearance for such a low price. They really punch above their weight.
Summer Camping trip
Used for the first time up in the southern sierra nevada and it kept me warm w the help of an extra small blanket stuffed inside. The temps at night hovered in the high 50 low 60s, so might not be ideal for colder weather. The design w the straps is a little funky, it takes a little while to figure out. Not bad for a multi day camping trip
Nice addition to my car camping kit.
This top quilt perfectly fits what I needed in a late Spring/Summer weight for hammock camping. The first night I used it the temperature dropped to the low 40's and I was very comfortable that night. The quality seems solid at this point and it stows neatly in my SUV.
Warm but not fuctional
over all the bag was warm, but I am a big guy and the bag would not stay tucked under my sleeping pad. used it this passed weekend and it got down to 20 degrees. I was warm, kept waking up to tuck in the sides. Son, who is bigger than i am said it was not good at all.
Travel Trailer
I bought these quilts for our travel trailer. I hate getting twisted up in a sleeping bag. These quilts are easy to store and very easy to use. They keep us warm at night. Are very comfortable to sleep in and they don't fall of the bed at night like a regular quilt does. For use in our trailer, they are the perfect solution.
Stiff fill
The fill is a bit stiff, otherwise a very nice product.
This is a nice quilt for the average camper
I love this quilt. Warmer than you expect (although I am a warm sleeper I think). Good foot box, I find that is attached easily to my thermarest air mat, it is wide enough for a big guy 6'1" 260lb. Held up to 30+ degree temps in the Sawtooths. Compresses to a reasonable size for hiking I've used it for a couple of years in different camping situations (car camping, tent camping hammock camping). I found it very flexible for an 'amateur' camper who prefers the freedom of a quilt over a sleeping bag. Not fancy but very functional.
