BIG CHAIR!
If you gave this chair less than a five star review because it's too big, you obviously don't get the reference. (King Kong was a giant, albeit fictitious ape that was taller than buildings and destroyed entire cities.). I, on the other hand, love this chair because it is big and heavy duty. I weigh 230 lb and when I plop down by the fire at the end of a long day of hiking, or fishing, or hunting, I want the confidence to know my chair is not going to buckle and send me a$#-over-tea-kettle. If you're looking for a small chair you can take backpacking, look elsewhere. Or better yet, sit on the ground and carry some more water. This is the best camping chair I've ever owned.

Overkill
Very sturdy, strong chair with side pockets (nice), but shallow cup holders (a tall boy would flop out), and extremely heavy chair (13 lbs). Weight capacity is 800 lbs...overkill for us, bc King Kong hasn't camped with us for years.

Ever get lost in too many reviews?

Solid build, great price, comfy. If you are larger you will love the space, if you are smaller you’ll love the ability to curl up in it. It’s no tiny chair - it takes up some real estate in your vehicle, but worth the trade off if space isn’t a premium. Such a good chair I got another

Sturdy & Comfy!

Just ordered our second one of these chairs. If you are a larger person, this is your camp chair! Nice wide seat and really great construction. Holds our 350 lb family member with ease. Carry sack.and easy set up. Not too heavy to pack around. APlus!

Laid back angle

Certainly a solid chair, with plenty of padding and a very sturdy feel. However, it sits more like an Adirondack Chair, with butt lower than knees, and as such I find it a strain to sit in for very long. I like to be more upright.

I just couldn't find the sweet spot!

Build strong , but not comfortable. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 260 lbs and I felt this chair was to high for me. if you're 6'2" this might be your chair but I just couldn't get comfortable in it.

Sturdy And Comfortable

My King Kong camp chair arrived yesterday and I am most impressed with the frame, fabric and comfort. I weigh 175 lbs but bought it for durability and size.

Massive

Props to the ALPS team for the name "King Kong" ... these chairs are HUGE. Returned immediately. I cannot imagine any instance that these would be appropriate– They take up an entire trunk when folded and are far too bulky to lug around anywhere. Two average-sized humans can fit in this chair! I'm sure the quality is decent, but they barely made it out of the box for us.

Fantastic for big & tall folks with lap snugglers

This chair is AWESOME! It sits high (great for tall folks - 6'2" here) and for those of us who are fluffier than others there is NO concern for your chair failing while on it especially when you have lab snuggling munchkins.
