Bought this for my 9 year old son. It feels lightweight so I worried it wouldn't keep him warm, but it has worked in mild Alaska weather so far, from 30's down to -20's... no complaint from him! And he is average in size so I bought the 10/12 to hopefully carrying him into next winter as well. It's not swimming on him. We were both pleased!
