The carabiner is so small that if you have any follow through the gate gets caught on your finger as you clip the rope. I have very narrow fingers and it still catches. They are very light, which is nice, but there are other products on the market just as light but with better gate function.
Have only used a few times but so far I am loving these alpine sender quickdraws! extremely light and easy to use. Have used for crag (trad and sport) and alpine climbing (trad), I'm looking to purchase more in the longer length as well.
These QDs are smaller than other Mammut QDs I have used. They feel very light (which is the big selling point), but take a little getting used to. They don't feel as solid in the hand as I would have thought.
12cm quickdraw is great for beginners or intermediate climbers. A little on the heavy side but clips smooth, has the keylock feature, girthy dogbone.
