Royal Robbins  Highlands Cowl Sweater - Women's

I am a curvy size 12 (5'6"/160lbs) and bought the grey in a large. It fits great, works well with my larger bust in actually minimizing it! I love the weight, it's been good with a thermal layer under it on cold days (15-20F) and nice today with a tank under it (about 50F). It can be dressed up or down. I don't find it too ichy, but may have a bit of a tolerance. I can feel it if I think about it, but it isn't super irritating. The only big issue with it I have is that it continuously pills and leaves fluff on everything! Continuously! I know I said that already, but it's impressive. I would not have bought this for the regular price if I had known, but perhaps on super discount because it's a cut that works well on my curvy shape.

I adore everything about this sweater! V-neck styles always work best on women with curves, and I am a fan of cowl neck style tops in general. It is not a heavy sweater, which I like because I always run warm anyway. For added warmth, a tank top underneath does the job well. The Dolman style sleeves creates a loose fit around the upper arms, which I like for free movement. This sweater is a washable wool blend with acrylic and nylon for a bit of stretch and give. It does seem to hold its shape very well after delicate washings in cold water, lay flat to dry... but it could be a little softer and less "pilly". Looks great casual with jeans and also with slacks/skirts for the office. I wished I had gotten more of this sweater in other colors offered, however, it is a bit pricier than I would like to spend for just 1 garment.

I liked the color of this sweater, but the fabric was thin and scratchy and picked up every bit of fluff for miles around. The fit was not right- the neckline which looks super cute in the picture was just floppy extra material when it was on. The waist and cuffs were fitted which made the rest sort of puff out. Needless to say I'm returning it. REI is fabulous and I will keep buying their clothes, just not this one.

I love this sweater. It is lightweight wool. It looks great alone or layered with a shirt underneath for extra warmth. It is a bit scratchy, but easily solved with a camisole underneath. The finishing at the wrists and bottom give it a classy look. The drape of the neckline is soft and pretty, but I think it's best for people with square shoulders. It hugs the hips. Medium fit me well - I'm 5',7" and 145.

No wonder this is on sale. Runs small. Why is black shown as the color when it’s really a dark spruce? Thin. Not as soft as expected. Going to be returned.

Fairly thin, this is a nice sweater to keep wooly-warm on mild, wet days (like we often have in Seattle). Slightly scratchy, but not too bad. Runs large. I'm 5'10", 165 lbs. Large was too large, the medium fits nicely. Very happy with this purchase!

Bought the light gray sweater because really like how it looks in the picture but very disappointed after receiving it. Material is kind of scratchy, the neckline doesnt drape like in the picture and it made me look heavy.

Not trying to brag - it's really a compliment to the sweater. I have been looking for thinner sweaters to wear to work in the summer, and this is just perfect. Looks professional, just thick enough for air conditioning without being too hot for a walk from the parking lot in 85 degrees.
