Excellent
Long time Houdini user who always felt it couldn't breathe on bigger mile runs. The airshed pro accomplishes this and I can keep this on for cold day runs the whole time and never feel like I need to take it off. the weather protection is the same as Houdini, which is to say good for wind and cold and dioesnt last too long in the rain. its very slim fitting so keep that in mind when ordering. Otherwise I wear this for almost every run in the PNW and love it!
The perfect winter running layer
Perfect outer layer for winter running. Super thin but exactly what is needed during high output activities. Can dump heat with a zipper that goes more than halfway down. Hood fits amazing, doesn't block peripheral vision but isn't too tight. Have worn it from 20-45 degrees with a t shirt or tank underneath.
Form fitting
Good quality. A little too tight but the kind of fit you would want when running. For this reason you probably won’t wear this out on a day to day basis.
Absolute best on the market!
This thing is incredible. I predominately use mine for long alpine trail runs/peak bagging and it is amazing. It is a good blend between a light version of an R1 and an ultralight windbreaker. For Colorado mountain summers, I do not even need to pack a fleece midlayer. This thing easily fits in a Salomon vest, backpack, cargo pants pocket, glovebox, etc….and can provide great warmth to weight. Hood is comfy and does not irritate neck. I am 6’ and 180lbs and a medium fit great. Only minor gripe is how the body does not seem to have much stretch - so initially fitting it over the shoulders can be a challenge haha. It also cleans up very well and looks good on the town!
Serves some purposes, but too thin overall.
I thought I was getting a slightly thicker layer than essentially a windbreaker. Not even, really like a base layer with a hood and thing material on the arms, which helps to shed heat, as well as the deep zipper on the front, but it isn’t what I had expected. Way too overpriced for what you get. It’s nice for running with a long sleeved or shortsleeved layer underneath, or on its own.
