Liquid chalk is not for me

I bought this shortly after I started climbing and have tried it again a few times since. Overall I just don’t think liquid chalk is worth the money for anybody who doesn’t have unusually sweaty hands. Even for those people, just a squirt of isopropyl alcohol before using regular chalk should do the trick. So I’m not saying this is a bad product, but there are much better ways to spend $20 on stuff that will actually help your climbing. FrictionLabs actual non-liquid chalk is insanely good…I’d rather spend my money on that.

Great "baselayer" of chalk

My gym had added a liquid chalk dispenser as a brief experiment, and I found that I really enjoyed it. When the dispenser went away, I decided to buy some. At least for me, it is not a replacement for my regular chalk while climbing, but it is a very effective base layer of chalk that seems to make my regular chalk adhere better and last longer. At least if my regular chalk wears off and I can't chalk up for whatever reason, I still have some dry grip left.

Not great

Honestly had higher hopes. I had used Black Diamond's white gold for a while, and it was far superior to this product; unfortunately they discontinued it. It is pretty expensive, and doesn't perform great. It never really feels truly dry, and takes far too long to get to that point. It also tends to leave a sticky residue.

Fast and grippy

This new formula dries very quick and stays on the hands for a long time. Minimal chalk ups required during an hour long bouldering session of maybe 10 problems.
