I wanted to love it. It's a very, very nice looking, urban commuter bike. But, I had multiple problems including; battery firmware update froze (couldn't turn off bike, took to bike tech), battery went bad (took again to tech), 3 other things in less than 6 months. Returned it because repairs out of 1-year warranty would have been very costly (plus I wasn't getting to use the bike because it was constantly in the shop, on top of the bother of having to put rack on car & take it to tech again and again). Despite all the problems, if a newer model came out I'd consider it if they didn't use the Hyena power system because it was otherwise just what I wanted.
Beautiful bike, mine got an error on the battery the third time I used it. Since batery is on the inside there was no way to reset the error, not even on the app. Such a shame, had to returned it. Other than that rides super smooth and is very quiet.
I have waited several years to find the perfect E bike. I have a Cannondale Synapse and have felt very comfortable with the quality of this brand. This bike did not disappoint. It is so easy and smooth to ride and charging it is a breeze. The 8 speeds are perfect, the basket and fenders are a plus and the purple haze color is to die for. Everyone who sees the bike comments on that immediately.
I feel in love with the color of the black to purple fade and unfortunately that’s where my love affair ended. Where do I begin? The front rack turning with the wheel means every time you load something up, the wheel with swivel and the bike will fall. Horrible design and makes the front rack pretty much useless. The internal battery means you have to have toe bike next to a plug and since you can’t remove the battery, no option for replacement on your own. The motor and whole electronic system is its own issue as you can see from some of the other reviews. Less than a year of light riding, it wouldn’t turn or charge. The pedal assist would randomly go out. The battery would die if I didn’t ride it for a few weeks. Almost everything wrong with it requires a bike shop visit and not just any bike shop, one that can diagnose the electronics. Oh and the wheels are proprietary so you can’t fix your own flats! Learned that the hard way. The bike looks great, the small sleek ebike is a great concept but utterly fails in execution. Pass on this bike.
