Retaining teeth broke off!
Riding to work this morning and the retaining teeth that the rubber wrap latches onto literally broke off and the phone holder with my iphone 14 max fell onto the sidewalk. I can't believe this happened!!!
Hi Alex! Sorry about this Squeeze issue! Please email us at info@niteize.com with a bit more info on how it was mounted / how the break occurred so we can help troubleshoot and get you covered with a replacement mount under our Worry Free Guarantee.
Worked well for a while, failed suddenly
This product worked well for a while but I would not recommend it for anything other than light use (well maintained paved bike paths and lanes). If you are cycling off road or in places that are not absolutely smooth, I would recommend another solution. This worked well for me for about a month but failed suddenly and spectacularly when I hit a bump on a bike lane and I ended up running over my phone. It seems that the weak point is the strap that holds it to the handlebar. Again, it would probably work fine for light use on good paved trails. If you are going to go 15-20+ mph on roads and imperfect trails, I would consider another solution.
Failed on first use
The rubber strap that attaches to the handlebar is unreliable. I was careful to make sure it was secure when starting off. When I stopped at my destination, the bike was on the stand, not moving. All of a sudden I heard a pop and saw the mount and my very expensive phone on the ground (fortunately the phone seems fine). The strap had worked itself loose and came undone. Get a mount with a bolted clamp. Also, with this site, the functions to add photos don't appear to be working. I hope I can get a refund but am not holding my breath. Poor design. REI I recommend you stop carrying this item.
Secure Phone Mount
I needed phone holder for my mountain bike so I did not have to stop to see who was calling or texting me when I was on the trail. At first the Mount would rotate on the handle bar so that the phone was perpendicular to the trail. When I moved the Mount closer to the handle bar stem, the stem supported the Mount and it stayed level so I could see my phone. I ride on a trail that is 13.5 miles with a lot of curves, tree and palmetto roots and rough terrain. There are no jumps on the trail but it is pretty rugged. The clip that holds the phone in place has rubber on the holder so the phone does not slip out of the holder.
READ THIS REVIEW IF YOUR MOUNT IS LOOSE!!!
If you're anything like me (stupid), you might have been gearing up to return this mount. I thought this mount was a piece of junk that deserved one star. In reality, my brain is the junky one star device. Here's the key to this mount!!! The back strap needs to be pushed through the clasp, and looped over the top in order to secure fully, kind of like a belt. Thank me later (or roll your eyes in disbelief that anyone could be as daft as me.
Solid for centuries
I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra with one of those excessively solid Otterbox cases. I was worried that it wouldn't fit, but it did with maybe 3.4mm to spare. I've used this on several rides so far including an almost 200 mile group ride from Seattle to Vancouver, BC this past weekend. With all the bumps and cracks in the road, and even a 30 foot stretch of rumble strips I couldn't avoid, this thing held my phone solidly. The key I think is to make sure your phone is pushed in so that the back of your phone is touching the flat back of the holder -- that way, the side grippers have as firm a grip as possible.
For large diameter mounting
Was looking for a cell phone holder to fit a terra trike recumbent trike ansd it fits well on the main spar
Pretty good but hope it’s durable
It’s easy to put on and take off my bike, but I’m concerned about the durability of the strap that holds it on to the bike. It’s got a little nub that goes into a hole in the strap, and those things tend to wear out and break (the strap). It seems to hold the phone pretty securely, but it makes me nervous that there is no strap or other thing that keeps it from sliding down. That said, the clamps seem to hold it pretty well. I only do road riding and don’t go fast, so it should work OK for me.
Falls off bike!
This device seemed to work okay the few times I tried it with my thin-handle-barred retro road bicycle. However, when I try and use it on my hybrid it is a disaster. It has popped off multiple times without warning (sometimes while cycling and even sometimes when the bicycle is "parked"/stationery with no phone in it!). When it is not fully coming off the bicycle, the weight of the phone + road bump results in the device slipping and the phone facing down to the ground, underneath the handlebars. Although these faults make the product non-functional (and risk breaking my phone), I love the levers for the easy in/out of the phone. If only the product would stay on the bike!
Piece of junk
I took this out for the first time today and the entire device fell off my frame within one mile of leaving home so the holder and my phone fell into the street. The plastic cracked. I put my phone in my pocket and strapped the holder back on to my bike since I had no where else to put it and it came off again about 3 miles later while I was riding down a hill. So then I just had to leave it in the street. The rubber catch on the strap where it inserts into the hole faces the wrong way so no wonder it doesn't stay on. Thankfully my phone didn't get busted but I'm very disappointed this was just a piece of trash within one mile of its first use.
