My old speedplay pedals needed to be replaced. Well, ok, I could have replaced the bearings. But new pedals are so fun! The pedal replacement itself was easy. It's nice not to have to use a pedal wrench with the new method. But the cleats were a different story. I simply swapped out the cleats over the same spot and with the same orientation as the old ones, and I found that it wasn't exactly the same position. Stupid me, I did a 50 mile ride the day I switched the cleats out, and I ended up with knee pain. :-( So re-adjustments are needed. Otherwise, everything is good.
Love speedplay pedals & ti version. The Wahoo Nano Ti version is flawed. First pair lasted 6 months & became loose on shaft. Replaced under warranty. My wife had reg SS pair of wahoo pedals & they became loose on shaft after warranty expired. I bought another ti pair for mu other bike a month ago, and one pedal already started clicking after 3 weeks & less than 600 miles. Expect will be replaced under warranty, but obviously still a flaw in wahoo shaft design vs the speedplay originals I have & still good! Hope they figure out as want to stay with this pedal style.
These were great pedals in the beginning. They are easy to click in and out of, smooth to pedal and have a nice platform. However, after 2 years of normal use, they now click and have medial lateral movement on the spindles. As it is a $500 dollar pedal, it really should have lasted longer.
Have been using these pedals for a few weeks now and they are fantastic. Took a couple of rides for either the spring in the cleat to get a little looser or for me to just get used to using them. However once I was familiar with them clipping in and out was a breeze.
I was expecting a hassle-free transition from my previous SPEEDPLAY Titanium system, but that was not the case. The left pedal is tough to engage...it should not be this difficult for a pedal this expensive
I received old, dirty, rusted pedals and cleats missing in old packaging. Not once but twice! Customer service was easy to deal with and they obviously accepted to refund me.
These are essentially zeroes but an appreciable amount lighter. There a good option when you need to take a little more off without compromising.
Right side pedal has side to side play.....makes a horrible creaking sound and feels wobbly when clipped in....
I have been riding Speedplay for over 25 years and won't use any other pedal. Dual sided pedals forever.
I am sure once I get used to clipping in, I will love them. #TeachAnOldDogANewTrick :)
