Love These Socks
This is my second purchase of these socks. Smartwool make a great product and i started out using their Ski Socks a number of years ago. I bought my first pair of these last year with a gift card and was very happy feel and warmth. Received another gift card this Christmas so back I went for another pair. They're so nice looking I can't bring myself to use them for day hiking boot socks. I wear a size 10 1/2 -11 shoe so I bought the extra large size and they fit great. One word of caution, like any wool sock do not put them thru the drier or they will shrink.

I was worried about using my true shoe size in buying these socks; I went with one size smaller. Perfect choice as the sock hugs my whole foot the way I prefer. For me, this means the sock sizing runs large (I'm a 9.5M/11W/43UK but purchased the M/M. Washed the socks with my regular laundry and they're still perfect. I'll be buying more of these.

These are considered hiking socks. But I have several of them and use them as my every day socks. They are very comfortable and hold up really well. They also manage stank really well due to the Merino. And they nylon blend makes them nearly bulletproof. But I recently got a hole near the top of one of my old socks (of this style) and contacted Smartwool. I sent them some pictures of the damaged threads, and they promptly sent me a voucher for a replacement pair. Smartwool and Darn Tough are the only socks I buy now. But I think the Smartwool designs are better for every day type wear. I even wear them to work in my business-casual office setting. I'm the only one who knows I'm technically wearing hiking gear. I kind of like that. I wear a size 11 shoe and the Large socks all fit perfectly.
