Perfect for school and traveling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just as I expected. It fits soo many items and you can adjust the bag to your liking for almost every opening. There's also a secret small zipper hidden in the front. For reference I am 5'1

Pretty backpack!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this bag for over a month now. I bought this mainly because my husband and I are going on a vacation in October. I wanted something that can fit all my necessities in one bag. I'll most likely fill it up with 13in laptop, ipad mini, small tech organizer, passport, pouch for my personal items, small jacket and 1set of change of clothes and water bottle. For now, I'm currently using this for work. Love the color blending of olive green and old rose pink color. Just my style! Spacious and doesn't look bulky. Love the buckle in the bottom to adjust the bag sizing. Padding works great in the shoulders and the back. I love the mesh pocket in the front too! I might add bungee cords to it in the feature when I need.

Unexpectedly very poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received the product and the stitching is all over the place. You can see extra thread everywhere. Was expecting a really good finishing product but turns out to be poorly made. dissapointed

Nice backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this backpack has many pockets and different compartments. I especially like the front fleece pocket and the cup holders on the side. I love the purple color as well. My school books are very heavy but the shoulder straps make it comfortable to carry everything around.

It's okay

Great color for sure. Looking for a backpack is a challenge being they can be so expensive, lack of descent color selections and materials. This pack doesn't stand up but falls over. All the compartments are narrow and deep which is hard to find things that may migrate to the bottom of the pack and falls short of packing it with balky items such as light jackets and such. It may be great for someone carrying their small lap top computer, note book or two and water bottle. Definitely look at this item in the store and explore it before making your purchase.

Overall, nice backpack!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the backpack especially because of all the pockets. I love the double cup sides. I love the laptop case portion. I think it's a pretty decent size, not too big or too small. One thing I wasn't happy about is seeing a piece of thread coming out and I haven't even had the bag for 1 month.

Newer version less durable than older version Recon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used for work to carry relatively light items (tablet, journal, pens, wallet). Seams tore easily. This version seems to be less durable than past Recon backpack I owned. I still like the design format of pocket placement for Recon.

Great backpack, but pilled clothes

I had the older version of this backpack, and I LOVED it. It had pockets to organize everything. I used it for 5 years daily for commuting to school. I loved the front pocket for stuffing my sweatshirt/raincoat into during the school day. The fleece lined phone/sunglasses pocket is great. And the two water bottle holders rocked. Honestly, I really really loved this backpack. The only issue is that the squishy, mesh backing started to wear out and it became really abrasive. I had to walk with my hands behind my back blocking my backpack from rubbing on my lower back and pilling my pants and shirts. Super sad that I'll have to stop using it :(

The Perfect Blend of Style and Functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my backpack! The style is beautiful, the color is beautiful and it's perfect for travel. The cloth pattern in the front adds an elegant, feminine touch which I love. It's comfortable, functional, durable, and stylish. I got it for my birthday and couldn't wish for a better gift. With a spacious main compartment and multiple pockets, organization is easy. I love the dedicated laptop sleeve, which keeps my device secure and easily accessible. Plus, the front compartment is perfect for storing smaller items like my keys, wallet, iPhone and sunglasses. It's a really versatile backpack and it shines! My backpack gets many compliments :)

Great school backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this backpack for school and it definitely serves its purpose. It's a lot stronger than my past backpacks and doesn't feel like it could break open if I put too many notebooks in it. I love the padded area for my computer and how the overall backpack sits on my back. The only note I would add is that I wish the Recon was wider. My binder has to sit on an angle to fit, which takes away room from my other notebooks to fit in (and as I'm an IB student, I have A LOT of notebooks). I would also like another zippered compartment, but that's a personal preference. I would definitely buy this backpack or another Northface backpack again!
