REI Co-op  Sahara Bucket Hat

This particular hat breathes very well. The ventilation system works. I live in southern Arizona. Haven’t had steady rain or heavy rains on it yet, so I’m sure it’ll drop and get saggy as the brim isn’t wired. Maybe upgrade on next edition? However it breathes much better than my Tilley airflow or my Shelta Seahawk. Another addition would be pocket in top to tuck strap away when not needed.

I have a big head, and usually can’t find a hat that will fit my head. This hag though fits great! And it looks good. I am going to get a second one, so I can keep one in my car when we take an unplanned hike, and a second at home for when I take my walks locally.

I took a chance ordering this hat online as I have a small head, but its been absolutely wonderful for hiking and a sun hat. It can go in the washer and dries very quickly. I've used it every time I've been hiking and its been an essential item to my trips. It fits well and is adjustable. Keeps the sun and sweat off my face when hiking.

I have had a terrible time finding a good sun hat due to my large head. I typically wear a size 7 7/8 in fitted hats to give you a reference. Most XL hats do not fit but this L/XL Sun hat fits perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchase and will be wearing this all summer during my golf and outdoor outings. Will update in the future with any relevant information about wear and tear.

I really, really love this hat. I bought mine in the salmon color during the rei sale but didn’t get my bf one cause I didn’t think he’d like the color selection and opted to get him a black adidas bucket hat instead. I have now ordered him the blue island one cause we both keep reaching for mine. It is so breathable, comfy, and if you have thick, curly hair(which both of us do)it’s so nice to have a hat big enough to cover your head.

I bought the extra large size because I actually hate wearing hats---especially hiking in North Carolina summer heat and humidity---but need to do so because of a history of skin cancers. This one is well-constructed and provides good coverage without being constraining or heavy. I had to buy a second one because my sister took mine : )

As the title states, I am so ecstatic that I found a hat that fits my abnormally large head!!! ;) I can finally bird watch like a true birder. Hat, binoculars, hiking poles, and all! Keeps my scalp from burning on long backpacking trips too! Anywho, it is very cute and I highly recommend it.

I like everything about this hat. The blue color looks good, and it folds well but still holds its form for packing. The draw string was a major selling point for me and a nice feature that more expensive competing models lacked. I feel like the brim also sat better on my head and offered a bit more sun protection. Overall, the REI brand continues to deliver great value and a quality product with this hat. I also have pants and shorts from them, and all have been great and held up well. Hoping for the same from my new hat!

I play ultimate frisbee and have tried several hats to try and keep the sun off my face during play, but they either too clunky/not tight or fitted enough etc. but I LOVE this hat. The perfect size to keep the sun of your face and neck without catching too much wind.

This hat is so comfortable! It’s very lightweight and the elastic to fine tune the fit is great. I have a larger head and the L/XL fits well. It’s well ventilated, though the brim could be a little wider. The brim also does not droop which is nice.
