I like the small mouth bottle - the wide mouth bottles spill over and down your face easily
I've used REI Nalgene water bottles for over 20 years, and they are basically indestructible. This (both narrow and wide mouth versions) have been my go-to ever since dropped a wide mouth Nalgene liter bottle from about 20 feet up when climbing at Pilot Mountain, NC. The (mostly full) bottle landed on a chunk of granite, top-down. It landed on the corner of the top... and bounced. No leaks, just the first of many big scuffs. I recently lost an old narrow mouth so I went to RIE for a replacement. The only options on hand were clear or very dark plastic. I opted for the dark, and have realized it is too dark to see the level as it fills, in anything except very bright lighting. I plan to exchange for a clear if that's my only option on hand...
Overall I’m satisfied with this narrow/small mouth Nalgene bottle. The biggest thing I hate about the wide mouth is that it’s hard to drink from it when I’m a moving vehicle or hiking because unless you have a wide mouth yourself it will splash and get all over your face. So what I was looking for in the narrow/small mouth was something I’d be able to drink out of on the go with minimal splash and it definitely achieved that. Only down side is it’s super hard to wash the inside without a specialized brush
Works as advertised. Small mouth opening is perfect for those of us who prefer it this way. It encourages me to drink more water than normal! I find myself drinking more water than I normally would. I have it on my desk and take big gulps without problems. No nasty or foul plastic taste. I’d prefer a metallic bottle but my mouth has become super sensitive to metal. This is great alternative! Highly recommended!
I have bought this water bottle twice now and it has broken both times within a month! The first brake was 100% my fault, I had accidentally melted the cap in the dishwasher! However since I liked the bottle so much I decided to buy again, this was a mistake. Not even 3 weeks after purchase the entire bottom broke apart! I had just filled the bottle so the entire 32oz spilled all over my items even causing water damage to a device. I really never write reviews but just wanted to say be careful!
Product is good but the bottles I received looked like they were in battle in the warehouse; Scratches, scratches, scratches….i I don’t mind but if you do, get them at the store so you can see them before you buy….
My go to bottle for vitamin mix water! Easy to close tight, then easy to open.
Great water bottle. It is very durable
I am really bad at drinking water and almost always spill it on myself when I use a wide mouth bottle, so I decided to get this one. Because my other bottles have stickers all over them (which I love) I decided to keep this one blank and have been getting compliments from people at work about how nice the bottle is and how refreshing the water looks cause you’re actually able to see it clearly. Didn’t expect that to happen lol! Just make sure you have the right size cleaning brush to get in the opening and you’re gonna love this bottle!!
