NO LIGHT ATTACHMENT LOOP!
Ortlieb makes some of my favorite bags. Waterproof, stable, great quality…. But why no loop for attaching a light on the Micro Two bags?! Some of us are short with little seat post clearance, so attaching a light directly to a seat pack makes the most sense. It’s a pretty standard feature that all bags should include for safety (be seen!) Sigh…
Great Essentials Bag
Just the right size to carry essentials without the snagging velcro strap around the seat tube. And the clip is the same size used for the larger Ortlieb saddle bags. So easy to swap from micro to large bag.
Snap Lock issue
Love the bag, but on occasion the snap locking mechanism doesn't work and the bag falls off the bike.
reliable product
Can snuggly fit a 700c tube, tools, and air. 500+ miles w/ it so far… no issues. Waterproof w a secure attachment system. Never leaves my gravel bike.
I finally figured out the PERFECT saddle bag!!
I had a hard time finding a saddle bag that would work with all the peculiarities of my setup/needs/wants.. I was giving myself a headache I was starting to wonder if I knew what I wanted… The ideal saddle bag needed to #1 - Fit in the exact location necessary… I wanted to mount my Bontrager rear light on their Blendr Saddle mount and thus it had to fit LOW ENOUGH for clearance on this… and YET it had to fit HIGH ENOUGH for clearance of my Garmin Varia Radar (RVR315)…. I am average height and thus I do not have a huge amount of room on seatpost… I wasn’t sure if this was even possible… Every saddle bag I tried either hugged the seat to tightly or sat too low not giving clearance for the Varia Radar… Yet I was thoroughly satisfied where the Ortlieb Micro 2 sat… The clip mount leaves just enough clearance for light and yet there is clearance for my radar too. (Granted I still had to mount it below the seatpost clamp, off seatpost altogether, but it works great in this position!) #2 - Size.. With the constraints of point #1, I had a constant dilemma of every bag I tried either being too small or too large… While I like smallest gear possible, if you can barely fit your tube and tire levers there is almost no point having the bag.. yet too big… Won’t work… This Ortlieb Micro Two is the PERFECT size!! It fits tube, Tire Levers, Chain Tool, mini Topeak multi tool, Topeak Pressure Gauge, two CO2 Cartridges & Inflator… All of this fits in bag COMFORTABLY! You do not have to jam it in… moreover, the drybag style/closure is forgiving if you have to stuff extra stuff.. I love that it’s made in Germany, well engineered, and water proof. I can’t speak of clip durability as I just always leave mine clipped on bike.
Bad purchase
They should tell you that the clip to hold this bag onto your seat with doesn't fit a lot of seats. I've tried to fit this into all my bikes, my kid's bike and the neighbor's bikes and it will not fit. Nice bag. Horrible clip design.
Nice tool bag. Swaps easily between bikes
This is the perfect size for a set of tools (emergency inner tube, tire levers, multitool, patch kit). By purchasing additional mounts (a bit pricey at ten bucks each) I can move this as needed between bikes.
Solid on the dropper
It's just big enough to hold some tools, a patch kit, a snack or two, and my keys. It also works well with my dropper post which is really great so I don't have to wear a pack for everything.
Bought five for the family.
I bought five for the family to store spare inner tubes for each bike. I also use them to store a repair kit and multi-tool. They work as advertised, glad to have them.
Highly Recommend
The 0.8 L is the perfect size on Cannondale Topstone; holds everything I need - multi-tool, tube, lights, keys, and even a snack. The quick release makes it easy to remove the bag from the bike attachment, but still holds well when riding. This saddle bag opens/closes in a unique way, which makes it easier to access than most other zippered bags.
