Too Small

If the intent is for this jacket to be worn with nothing underneath and to be near skin tight, just slightly loose then this is perfect. If the intent is to wear a shirt underneath its snug. If the intent is to have some room for movement it is very snug and if the intent is to layer above something a little heavier than a shirt it is way too snug. I'm a size 44 chest and always fit into XL sometimes L. For this jacket the XL was tooo small. I like the jacket a lot but looking for something light and windproof to use in layering for my jogging. This is not it.

No swishing. Lightweight rain protection. Comfortable.

High quality materials and seemingly good water proofing/resistance. I wore this in a steady rain on a 6 mile, muddy trail run and it kept me dry. Not very warm on it's own, but with the right base layers, it could be ok for (some) winter running. The zipper tends to catch and is difficult to initially zip up; I am not sure if this is a flaw in general or only with the jacket I received. Material is better than most windbreaker/water resistant type running jackets. No swishing.

Fits different to older version

Different fit to the older version, unfortunately the sleeves are too short for it to be usable. They sit about 3 inches shorter on me. It's a shame because the fabric is brilliant, and the snaps that keep the jacket closed while unzipped a re a great innovation.

100K Lifesaver

Absolutely love this jacket. Bought it to use for my first 100K along the Outer Banks of NC. Specifically searched for a lightweight rain jacket since I knew temperatures would be in the upper 60s. Admittedly, I was skeptical when the jacket arrived due the the thin material. I was pleasantly surprised when I used the jacket from mile 37-50. Kept me completely dry during a thunderstorm and the material breathes perfect! The snaps on the front allow for additional air flow. Well worth the price in my opinion!

Zipper Trouble

Lightweight, breathable and fits well. Prior versions of the Canopy jacket are my go to running jacket. Unfortunately this newer version Canopy jacket has a narrower zipper then prior jackets and after a few uses of the jacket it was a struggle to zip up from the bottom of the jacket and I had to return. All the zipper teeth were present but zipper may have been slightly misaligned..

Very nice. Almost very, very nice.

I'm 5' 6" and stocky. Almost went to a Medium but glad I stayed with Large. Sleeves a bit long but pretty common for my build. The inside pocket you pack the jacket into is, in my opinion a joke. I could never put the jacket on without it hanging out the back of the collar. We cut it off with no unforeseen problems.

Amazing jacket

Great jacket. Trim fit that isn’t restricting and great features (tie down hood, snaps that let you unzip the jacket and run without looking like you’re wearing a cape). Fairly breathable (wouldn’t wear this in warmer weather) and great rain resistance (just avoid downpours). My go to jacket.

Returned It

I was trying to replace the canopy I had purchased about 7-8 years ago (and lost recently). I loved that jacket. This one not near the same quality. I didn't think it was up to the normal Brooks standards. So, I returned it. Thanks , Rick

Great but...

I really liked the Canopy Jacket. It's lightweight, repel water (unless downpour), very versatile on a day basis. I only have one major compliant: I ordered mine on Oct. 28 and yesterday Dec. 17, the zipper broke and now I'm stuck. :(

Canopy Jacket

Very light weight and comfortable, but the wrist cuffs are loose and runs slightly larger than normal. I liked the comfort and weight and also the hood roll up strap. This is a break a chill jacket unless one wears other base layers.
