I am 135 lb and 5' 5" and I ordered a medium because other Zoic shorts run large (according to reviews). I need to exchange for a small. The pockets are great and the material seems light enough for biking. I knew this, but note that they do not come with a padded liner.

No, I do not recommend this product
I really wanted to like these. I had originally ordered medium and they were just a little too snug, especially with a liner underneath, but otherwise OK...so I returned them and ordered a large. These just fit me weirdly. They were OK in waist, but the hips were really tight and it seemed like the part of the shorts between the waist and crotch was just too short. Maybe there is some issues with the QC, or maybe these just don't work for those of us with curves. For reference, I'm 5'4", 140 lbs.

I bought these for bike commuting-- my ride is long enough that I can't do it in work clothes, but I'm not comfortable rocking up to the office in spandex or wild patterns. They are perfect! Super comfortable and I love the deep zippered pockets on the legs.

I needed a comfortable mountain bike short for my "new" post-menopause body. These fit great and work like a charm. I use my more minimalistic tri shorts underneath. I've even taken to wearing them when I have some longer around-town errands, where I will be in the saddle long enough to want bike shorts, but also want the convince of pockets.

I tried these out on a 19-mile ride and they are the most comfortable MTB shorts I own. I usually order mediums, but with the stretchy waist I decided to size down to a small and it’s just right. Plus it has lots of pockets.
