Not great quality...
They ripped on my first attempt to wear them. Right along the seam of canvas and rubber. So I’m bummed as it just started to pour down rain yesterday.
Issues with construction
Same as other reviewers- this is my second pair and with each one I've had issues. The first time the neoprene siding ripped along the insertion, and the pull tab on the second pair simply pulled out as I was trying to pull the boots on. Bummed.
neoprene action fell apart
After my second time wearing these, the stretchy neoprene piece fell off without any wear. I tried to wear them a couple more times and on the same boot the other piece fell of. Same problem as another reviewer.
Wow, I forgot they were on.
Don't know how to make this at least a 4 1/2 star. The only reason I could not give it a 5 is because it was tight when you first slide your foot in. I have big wide feet! Just today I had them on for 8 hours. Running errands with the wife in the car. Taking the dogs for a walk of over 1 1/2 miles. Working for hours outside and in the garage. They are so comfortable I forgot they were on and almost wore them inside the house. By the way you accidentally put two inserts in my right shoe. How can I get the extra one back to you? Again great shoe and would recommend to anyone. Sincerely, Dave Toman
Kept me dry but could be more comfortable
I got this pair of shoes to use in wet and muddy weather. The shoes look stylish, but I got them muddy pretty quick. I went out on some simple hikes in the spring with these shoes, and they kept my feet safe from all the water and sludge on thawing trails in Wisconsin. Down side was that they obviously don't breath much, so the uncomfortable factor of my sweaty feet was multiplied. I also felt like the soles were fairly stiff while not providing much support. Ultimately, they kept my feet dry and clean, but they are not that comfortable for wearing much longer than an hour.
Ripped on first wear
The boot ripped apart from the sole and the pull tab also came off. I had 3 pairs and this happened to each of them. On a positive note, Rei has the best return policy ever
Make Friends With Rain! Buy a pair of Bogs
I gave 4 stars because I love Bogs shoes. But honestly I returned the pair of Overcast Chelsea short boots I bought. They run a little big so you have room for decent socks, but I forgot that. The pair I received were a size larger than I needed. So I returned them, which Bogs handled swiftly and I got what I really wanted, which is another pair of Urban Farmers!!!. I have a green pair which I wore into the ground. I stepped on something sharp with put a hole in the left shoe. It took a ripped hole before they EVER failed to keep my feet 100% dry. I loved that first pair of Urban Farmers I even caulked the nail hole, which only helped for a few months. Dry feet are a terribly under rated nice part of life. I can't wait for my next pair.
Way too small
I had purchased these boots and was looking forward to having a pair of true waterproof boots. I have never had a problem buying size 9's from other manufacturers but I found these way too small. I was so irritated that I did not even want to try exchanging them and trying a larger size.
Great shoe, but some construction issues...
I bought these to replace my XtraTuf boots for along range fishing trip. They were "all day" comfortable, kept my feet dry, and the soles gripped well on the boats deck. The only issue I had was that one of the fabric panels on the side of the she began to separate after the fourth day of use. It appears that it is glued in place. I re-secured it using some 3M heavy duty robber cement, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Overall, I'm happy with the shoe. Even with the side panel missing, it was a comfy shoe.
nice for sport fishing... comfortable
I've been really happy with these boots. I've been on multiple full day fishing trips and they're very comfy and they have been holding up extremely well.
