All Stoke, No Joke!

This was the first FS mountain bike I’ve ever purchased. After being really overwhelmed with options and prices all over the board, I decided to pull the trigger on this one when I stumbled across it in store in exactly my size (meant to be!). I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the suspension right off the rack - it’s been way more than sufficient for my needs thus far, and is an absolute blast to ride on both rocky and smooth flowy single track. It also climbs like a beast. Only complaint I would have with the bike as is would be the derailleur quality, but I expected this at the price point. An easy enough upgrade when the time is right, and it still functions as it should, so no real beef here. Over all, I’m super stoked on the purchase and have found myself sitting at my desk itching for the end of the day so I can get out and ride.

Excellent bike love it! Feels so plush!

The Habit 4 what a great bike this bike is absolutely beautiful and I’m amazed at how deep the suspension feels considering it’s 140-130 travel front - back respectively. The shocks put on this bike are absolutely perfect for it I thought I would be quickly wanting to upgrade the shocks on this bike to find out that was not the case this thing is perfect straight from the factory. Going uphill. No problem unlike my last full suspension bike this one goes uphill like a beast something full suspension bikes used to not be able to do. And if you really need some help you can lock out the shocks all the way and be basically riding a beefy rigid bike for the steep climbs, going down? Flip the switch to open and float on a cloud of air down the mountain. This bikes instills confidence and is just a riot to ride. Love it!

You will look good - and ride even better

I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to on this one. REI had shipped this bike to me a few days ago, assembly was easy and came with everything you'd need. With that said, I haven't had too many rides in yet (will update in the coming months), but the handful of adventures I've taken this thing on thus far have been absolutely amazing. This bike is very forgiving, agile, and fast, despite its weight being on the heavy side. Suspension works flawlessly and setup is pretty straightforward. Oh yeah, and this thing is beautiful too. Friends come over to my place and there is awe at how high end this thing looks - my dad even offered to buy it off me when it comes time to upgrade. If you're skimming around online trying to find quality mountain bikes in the $2.5k-$3.5k price range, this is a solid choice, and definitely one you will wish you pulled the trigger on sooner.

The reviews are true!

I was worried going from 27.5 to 29 wheels would mean it would be harder to maneuver on technical trails But the bike rips! It’s super playful And has a very light weight feel compared to other full suspension bike‘s. The only thing I found lacking is the shifting, it seems a little hesitant but that might get better with small adjustments. both front and rear shocks feel fantastic and the lockout feels very solid.

WAY FUN!

I haven't had this much fun since I turned 21 and could buy beer! 1000 mile update: I ride 5 - 20 miles several times per week. Bouncy hilly trails. Wet muddy trails. I'm on my 2nd chain and 2nd set of brake pads. I like a mountain bike that I can abuse and not worry about. This is it. Handling is spectacular up and down hills and in loose gravelly rooted up trails. Buy this bike and then quit your job, because you won't want to do anything else.

Excellent Full Suspension - I love!!

This bike is clutch, I am just getting started on downhill mountain biking so I do not know all the lingo and specs to speak to! But, I will say - this bike is SUPER comfortable and user friendly. The Cannondale makes for a smooth ride, easy to climb uphill, easy to gear up and down - allowed me to fall more in love with this sport!

Great Mountain Bike

That's exactly what it is: A great mountain bike! It handles all around mountain bike. If you're looking for a beastly "do it all" mountain bike, this is it. I'm a seasoned biker and like having one bike that'll do it all. I'm not a XC racer nor a downhill hoonigan. The Habit handles everything I can throw at it. It's an odd climber, however. I kinda feel like my bum is hanging out back over the rear wheel which makes the front end kinda squirrely on steep climbs. I rarely need to lock the suspension though. There's not a lot of pedal bob. I love this thing! Just don't expect great service from the REI bike shops. I've tried two of them. "We don't do tune ups! We just fix what's broken" (yes those exact words were said) The SX drivetrain on the Habit is super finicky. I've had the guys at REI work on it 3x and every time I get it back, it's in worse shape. I did a once over myself after I started to get a creak from the front and found a few loosened bolts and things that were not as they should be. Hopefully not all REI shops are like that

Really fun mountain bike

I've had this bike over a month and have gone on about 2 dozen rides with it. It is a really fun bike to ride that seems to be able to perform well on just about any terrain I take it on. It seems to take the abuse I give it with ease. It is a little heavy when going up really steep grades, but shifts well to the right gears to make it doable even on long uphills. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a true multi-purpose mountain bike looks to move up from an entry-level to intermediate bike.

Fun bike to hit the trails

Scooped this up this summer and have been hitting the trails a lot. REI set it up tubeless and have had it back for a quick tune. REI has been great and the riding has been full of smiles.
