Enough and more to go.

I was told in the store that this particular canister would be sufficient to do ten meals for basic backpacking two person freeze dried packages plus enough boiled water for hot beverages, so long as it wasn't high altitudes or wintertime. The cannister accomplished this with no problems.

Works in a pinch.

Usually I buy the jet boil version of this.this is the first time Buying the gsI one. I do notice when i connecting to my Jet boil, The liquid has a tendency to spray out of it until fully sealed. As well when im finished using it. Seems like the connection might be a hair off before the pin seals itself on propane.

Fuel Canister

This fuel canister usually lasts about 7-10 days depending on how often you cook. It fits perfectly inside my 3 cup titanium cooking pot. It also screws into the fist size cooking stoves very easily and self seals when unscrewed.

Cold soaking by necessity

My brother and I have been section hiking the AT. We have gone out for as long as 7 days and six nights. I use a Snow Peak stove and my brother uses a similar one. In the past I have always bought MSR Isopro All-Season Fuel Blend in a 13.1 oz can just because that is what REI carried. For my most recent hike, a 6 day 5 night hike through Maryland and West Virginia, I bought Jetboil Jetpower just because that is what REI had in stock. For the first time both my brother and I ran out of fuel on our last night. In the past we had always finished our hikes with some fuel to spare. the Jetboil canister was the same size if not a little larger. In fact the Jetboil canister had a net of 8.11 oz where as the MSR canister had a net weight of 8.0 oz. If we hadn't both run out, I could have written it off to a quirk with the way one of us cooked. I suspect it must be a difference in gas blends. Anyway I hope REI will start carrying MSR fuel canisters again.

It's a butane can, what can I say

It's a butane can with fuel..without going into detailed weighing of the canister and using . more than once it's really hard to rate a butane canister

Used with jet boil

Great little gas canister that I used with my jetboil. The little can can actually last for a while. I’ve boiled water at least eight times and there’s still some left in the can.
