[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Columbia - Women’s Switchback Lined Long Jacket - Plus Size at the end of August and it’s been worth every penny that I spent on it. If it rains I stay completely dry and that’s shocking to me because a lot of jackets say waterproof but they aren’t my hood folds up in the collar of the jacket plus I have plenty of pockets two inside and two outside that’s good for me because I somehow end up with a lot of stuff and it has adjustable sleeves so that you can stay dry , I would highly recommend I love mine so much that I’m going to purchase the Women’s Tested Tough in Pink jacket because I’m a breast cancer survivor and October is breast cancer survivor months .
I have a fleece lined jacket that is warm during the colder days and I don't have to wear a thick, bulky coat. I purchased this one as a gift, but it doesn't have the usual fleece lining the older jackets have. This lining is so thin, it might as well not have had a lining. I love my Columbia jackets, but am highly disappointed with this. The description should be changed.
We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to improve the product in the future.
I ordered online and purchased the same size coats I currently own. However, it needed to be next size up. I could have exchanged for the next size up, but I wanted to try on the coat to make sure. I had to drive 30 minutes to another town for the nearest store. They did not have the same coat in store so and I purchased another coat at twice the price since they didn't have any comparable. I like the one I purchased in store and it will work better for my UK trip. However, Columbia coats tend to run smaller, so keep that in mind. I am a petite, pear shaped woman so it is difficult to purchase online. I am glad the store wasn't too far away.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a rain jacket because, well, I didn’t have one for colder weather. I have purchased a few Columbia products and have never been disappointed. So I decided to look at what Colombia had to offer. Still not disappointed. I love the color, but most importantly, it keeps me dry. Living in GA we have had more rain in the first two months of the new year than usual, by about 6” or so. This jacket keeps me warm with enough room to add another light layer for added warm if need be, and I stay dry where it covers (sorry legs) even in driving rain. The quality of material and workmanship lead me to believe I will have this jacket for a number of years.
This windbreaker/rain jacket was just what I was looking for. I wanted a lining more substantial than mesh so I could wear it on cool, rainy or misty days. I like the longer length and I feel like it is a flattering jacket that skims the body (not tight). I am 5'4", around 125 and the Medium is perfect for me. Sleeves are slightly long on me but you can cinch them with the velcro tabs. If I had one little suggestion it would be that I wish there was a bit of reflective material on the front and back, since I walk daily and start before dawn. So I ordered some 3M Scotchlite adhesive sticker strips to add a bit of reflection. But very happy otherwise with purchase!
Love this jacket! It’s very lightweight, has a perfect length and a nice shape that’s just fitted enough in the back to not look boxy. The lining is very thin which is what I wanted, as I will wear it year-round and didn’t want it too warm. In a light drizzle, it kept me dry, but in a downpour, my shoulders got a little wet. But I get wet in my really expensive gore-tex jackets too, so it’s not a problem for me. I normally wear a medium but got a large, and the size is just right. I got the light Cirrus Gray color for visibility, so I will wear it walking the dog when it’s dark, even if it’s not raining! It’s very packable too so it will be great for travel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I take daily walks and have to be prepared for a steady drizzle. I love this jacket because it's the perfect weight to throw on over a long-sleeved top. It blocks out the wind and rain, and yet it's super lightweight. It's the perfect travel accessory - packs away so easily. The fit is exactly right. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs and I got the Large. It fits my shoulders and hips just right without being too bulky or shapeless. I also really like the Cirrus Gray color. In some light it looks like an icy blue. Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Florida native, finding the perfect outerwear for weather and warmth (when needed) can be a bit of a challenge. This jacket provides both. Not all jackets are truly waterproof, but this jacket keeps me dry, and the velcro sleeve cuffs, and drawstring hood are an added bonus, keeping both rain, and cold out. The lining is perfect for cooler days, but not too thick for wearing during warmer rainy temps. The length keeps your entire torso and back side safe from the elements too. As a curvy woman, having a fulller cut makes it easier to sit without excess tension or bunching. Love it so much I have two!! Size reference - I’m 5’8, hourglass figure, size 16/18, and I purchased a 2X
I have the mesh lined rain jacket/wind breaker which was perfect to wear over sweaters and long sleeved shirts for Arizona winters, but moving to Wisconsin, I needed something more substantial for these rainy Fall days. I have a 15 minute walk to campus and this works perfectly. The adjustable hood took a little finagling but I eventually got it to where it wasn't slipping off my head from the wind. I purchased the Flint Gray color and it is definitely gray in person, not the off white like in the pictures, which I definitely prefer. Great product and I really enjoy my Columbia products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket in dark nocturnal and love the color with the contrasting silver zipper. The material feels sturdy but lightweight and the zipper works well. The other plus is that it is long enough to cover my bottom. Its lightly lined but I was still surprised how warm it kept me in 40 degree weather! I’ve only worn it once in a light to moderate rain but it kept me dry and toasty! It does run a tad small in the waist area but that could just be my preference. I’m 5’2” and 150lbs, I normally wear a medium but ordered this in a large so I could layer and that worked out perfect.
