Well designed, comfortable and effective
I've been a daily, outdoor runner for 22 years, and use various face/neck layers in winter. What I like about this product is that it covers the ears, provides neck, nose and mouth protection, and is easy to breath through. I found that its loose weave mesh around the mouth makes it best for temps above 5 or 10 degrees (depending on the wind). [In lower temps, I want a little more fabric covering my mouth so I'm not breathing super cold air.] I now use this product instead of a balaclava because it gives me more flexibility with what I wear on my head, and it feels more comfortable (less restrictive). The CTR tempest neck and face protector has become a regular part of my cold-weather running gear.
