Inside leg rips

I'll start by saying I love Under Armour and have a closet full of a number of products that have lasted a loooong time. These particular shorts have been a major disappointment. They are my most recent purchase and are being thrown away first. The seems on the inside came apart quickly and grew into significant rips during a run. This lead to considerable chaffing and a couple of uncomfortable days. Maybe this was just an issue with my pair - who knows. I would not recommend these as a purchase unless there are a few more reviews from people who have worn them for a while.

Launch 5 in. Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I really like these shorts. First of all I’m not a tall person at 5ft 7in these fit me perfect. I’ve tried wearing 7or 9 inch shorts and I might as well be wearing long pants. These are light and have a built in brief which is great in hot weather. They are also quite nice looking. You can not only wear them to the gym but you can go out in them also. If there is one that I don’t like it is that I feel like the waistband is a little too tight ( I am not at all overweight or ou of shape). I have other UA shorts and the waistbands are very comfortable. That little problem aside, I do really like these shorts so much I bought 2 pairs in different colors. We all know that UA makes great workout clothing and these are no different. Try a pair yourself, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Rides up badly and cannot carry phone in pockets

Among all the running shorts I have used, these are the ones that I am most disappointed with. First the positives: they are very light weight and stretch well. But other than that nothing else works for me with these shorts. They ride up very badly when I run. I keep pushing them down often during the run. If I don't adjust them, I chafe. Although, it has a dedicated pocket for phone that along with every other pockets are completely useless. These pockets are so stretchy, that if I carry phone in any of them they slide down beyond the seams - the phone is almost dangling and hitting my thighs when I run. you can only use these pockets for light weight small items. These shorts also run small. I am 33" waist and use medium in every other shorts. Medium in these are tight for me - pockets bulge out even when I am standing. I regret buying these.

Comfy, great all-rounders

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to replace my old under armor shorts that are no longer in production and these are perfect. The waistband has improved, super sturdy and comfy, The Mesh lining keeps things in place without any chafing, two decent sized pockets that have secret inner mesh pockets for keys/phones etc. I'm 6ft, 170lbs, bought a medium which fit great and lengthwise the shorts hit just right about mid thigh.

Great but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical on these shorts at first because of the thickness of the waistband, however, I've come to enjoy it over my other shorts because it's more supportive while carrying. The only problem I've had is the pockets tend to stretch beyond the length of the shorts, even with just my phone in them. I think the liner could also be improved as could the price and color options.

Love these shorts

I have six pairs of these shorts now. They are great because I love brief liner shorts and hardly anyone makes them anymore. My only “issue” is the material holds onto the detergent after being washed. I can see residue detergent on the shorts. I’ve had this occur with pods and powder detergent. I also had to order a size up from normal. I’m a 32-33 and got a large.

Pretty good shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Men's UA Launch Run 5" Shorts are quality shorts with an optimal inseam length. They have enough stretch for the legs to fully extend during my runs. The waist is slightly tighter than running shorts from other companies, but is reality the same to other Under Armour shorts. The inner-phone pocket in side pockets is great at securely holding my phone.

Great shorts, fast delivery.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought a pair of Running shorts and the description was slightly ambiguous. I got them delivered and loved them so I ordered another pair in a different colour. I go to the gym every day so I need lots of shorts to cut down on the laundry cycles. I think I’ll be a couple more because they’re excellent, well priced and very comfortable.

Order a Size Up

All my gym shorts are from UA and all in medium size. These run really small though. Order a size up for sure. The fabric is really thin compared to other gym shorts as well. I usually cut out the mesh or else things end up really tight (squats), but this fabric reveals a bit too much. My partner seems to enjoy that though.

Perfect for running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are very comfortable and the right length for running. They double for great shorts at Lake when camping as well, especially on those really hot days. Love the versatility, the fabric. I’ve tried other brands and they’re not nearly as comfortable. I will definitely recommend these to all my running friends.
