As a thick lady bike rider, these are hands down the best bike shorts I have ever worn. The rise is fantastic, the holster pockets are perfect. I promise you they're worth the spend.

Nice length however the material offers very little support at the high waist and it rolled down on my first ride. The leg cuffs had itchy nylon thread. Side pockets with mesh are very nice. Padding a little on the light side for long rides. I am going to return.

Another Terry Hi-Rise cycling success

I have found a real love for Terry cycling tights and shorts with chamois. These are great as well. If I had a hint for others it would be that, although the legs are tight enough, I chose a size too big in the waist. Hence, the waist rolls down in front when I fold to tie my shoes. In the riding tights I bought an XL but in these shorts I used the chart and bought XXL. I am 64,195 lb, 5'5.5" tall and have a 39" waist. I typically wear size 16-18. A close fitting jersey and a needle and thread will make these perfect! They ride great and the chamois is really nice.

These shorts are perfect for me

Love these shorts! The pockets are great and they're not so tight. I am a "renewed" cyclist. Formerly on a road bike, but now on a hybrid so I am upright. The pad in these shorts is perfect for upright riding. I had never been a fan of Terry shorts years ago, but after a 10 year hiatus and a knee replacement, I am happily riding on an upright hybrid "comfort" bike and finding these shorts to be just perfect! They may be a bit loose in the hips as I have no hips, but accommodate my middle. I have just purchased a second pair so take that as an endorsement!

Best Bike Shorts Ever!

I used these every day for a 3 week, 500 mile, 42k ft of climbing cycling trip through Italy and France. They were perfect. I love the high waist, the length, and THE POCKETS! Two pockets that securely stored my phone and wallet when I needed to throw them in there. The chamois pad could've been higher quality, but it did its job. I'm 5'5" and 135lbs and I was deciding between a M and L. I sized up and took the L and it worked great. There is a drawstring.

SHORTS KEPT SLIPPING DOWN

I was excited to find high-waisted with outside pockets for touring. These are good quality shorts and padding is sufficient for long rides. HOWEVER, the bottom leg bands of the shorts seem too tight (and/or the waist band isn't firm enough) and the shorts kept slowly slipping down. I was constantly (for 350 miles) wrestling with these shorts to keep them up. I believe they were the correct size, they were size large. I'm 5'4", 175 pounds (typically wear size 12). I have a typical body shape (so it wasn't due to disproportionate body parts). I think this is my first pair of Terry shorts, and again they are good quality, but this style/design did NOT work for me at all. I would just recommend when you try them on, move around a lot to see if they stay up.

PERFECT short for pear shaped women

These bike shorts couldn't be a better fit for me. A strong rider at 5'8" /160 lbs., I have a small waist and generous hips and thighs. It is almost impossible to find bike shorts that fit me correctly. They are always loose around the waist and slide down. These hi-rise shorts are perfect!!! The fit is nice and snug around the waist and right above the knee where they end, yet comfortable in the rear & thighs . The pad will provide good support for longer rides, too! I can't wait to pedal!!!

My Favorite Bike Shorts

I purchased these several years ago and they are still my favorite bike shorts. I ride 3-4 times a week and they have held up incredibly well, even after hundreds of rounds through the washer (and dryer, gasp!). They fit perfectly, have a comfortable chamois that isn't too bulky, and basically just rock my world. I'm buying another pair just in case Terry discontinues them in the future.

Not a good fit

The large fit in the the legs but the non slip trim at base of shorts was way too tight. The high waist was loose and kepts rolling down. For the price, I really expected more. I wish the REI junction shorts were not out of stock. That us the only pair of shorts that are comfortable

Now I can’t beat these bicycle shirts!! I’m thrilled to have the longer length, the wide waist area band, and those side pockets. Yea Terry, you know how to take care of the bicyclists.
