Best rim tape IF YOU FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!
I followed the WTB instructions video on how to apply this tape and it literally looks like a professional job. You have to pull pretty hard as you lay it down to get it to stretch and lay flat. It has a little bit of a learning curve but after 2 tries I did both rims in less than 5 minutes. Make sure you CLEAN your rims and watch the instructions video! It makes an amazing seal and is well worth the money. Thanks WTB!

Worst name brand tubeless tape on the market
As an employee told me, “this is cheap Amazon tape with a WTB logo on it”. My experience agrees with that. The tape is too thick and requires a heat gun to install on WTB’s own rims. It does not stretch at all, and is prone to peeling from the rim. The tape adhesive is soluble in Orange sealant, and will bubble & peel at the edges even if installed correctly. This happened to me twice, each within 1 month of purchase and left me with a slow leak that was hard to pinpoint. I’ve never had this issue with muc off tape. Do not use these for tubeless. 2 stars because the rim tape is good tape primer for bar wrap.

WTB TCS rim tape

First ever use of rim tape so can't compare. What I learned in a nutshell: What I learned by going tubeless: Hard-to-mount clinchers such as Teravail Cannonballs are best when they're warm so in the sun is best! Some tires have 2 different pressures; one for tubes and one for tubeless. Depending on the tire it takes one or two strips of tape. WTB i23 and afford mentions tires require 2 strips where the psi for Terrano Dry G2 tubeless would only require one strip.... Finger tight lock nut for a Muc-OFF stem may not be enough even with supplied o-ring. Any kind of shred from the side of WTB TCS rim tape between the bead and wheel creates a leak area so remove before mounting. Using a hot ice pick to burn through rim tape for stem was a great idea, Thanks to someone from YouTube! I questioned whether to remove the WTB Red solid strip so went to WTB and that's there to prevent rim burs from puncturing tape among other reasons so leave it alone. A tote has many uses and dunking said wheels and tires for leaks was just another found use... Currently 36-40 psi and holding.

Did the job

Taped two rims in prep for going tubeless. Had enough tape to wrap each rim twice with some left over. This tape isn’t super sticky but I took the time to make sure the rims were very clean. The tape stuck well to the rim and to itself. The advantage of having less sticky tape is that there will be less residue to clean up when I need to redo the tape. When I was done, the wheels sealed up just as expected.

Trash trash trash

Yeah this stuff is garbage. No adhesive, stiff and crinkly, like trying to wrap a metal tape measure around the rim. If you pull hard enough it seems like it might hold and stay down, but dont be fooled, it won't. Save yourself 17 bucks and skip the branding on some dollar store tape.

Tape doesn’t work that good!

I got this tape because only brand they carry and I had a hard time being able to stretch and adhere it into the profile of my carbon MTB rims. This was after cleaning the surface really good with alcohol and paper towels. Installed tire and pressurized without sealant in order to check for leaks from spoke holes and nipples. It was leaking badly using soapy water to check. Tried to press tape down in rim to no avail. Decided to remove and replace tape and it did the same thing. I ended up getting some Muc-off tape from another bike shop and was able to install easier and everything seal up well on first taping. Save your money and get Muc-off tape. REI should carry it and get rid of WTB. I love their saddles though.

Do Not Buy this Tape

Buy Stans Tape this is a poor imitation. It's too thick, doesn't stick, splits at the edges and takes superhuman pressure to get it to conform to inner rim.

Taped up easy

Needed some tubeless tape for some lite carbon wheels. Didn't want to add weight with Gorilla tape so I used tubeless wheel tape which is thinner. Taped up easy and will most likely come off with less mess. No issues with leaks.

All good

Recommended by the bike tech at REI and it fit perfectly.. I expected it to be more stretchy but went on fine, stuck well, and I haven't had any leaks after three rides and about a month.

Plenty stiff and sticky

Prepared a set of DT Swiss mtn bike rims for tubeless which had previously been wrapped with softer tape which resembled electrical tape. I chose the width by putting a caliper across the inside of the rim and going slightly wider. This tape was plenty stiff and sticky. I ran a couple of extra layers over the valve hole which has enlarged itself to prevent the valve from slipping through. This tape worked just as well as the previous stuff I bought at REI, “Muc-off” brand.
