high quality

High quality, fits my 700x38c tires. Installation was simple, fits even with my rack (though I did have to saw some bolts on the rack to allow the rear fender enough space). Comes with multiple means of successfully installing.

Nicely made, but with a few gotchas

Since I live in Portland, I sort of felt like I had to go with the PDW fenders on my new ride. They look classy, though I found them to be a little harder to install than the SKS 'chromoplast' fenders I have been rocking on my old commuter. But fenders are always a pain, and always a little different on every frame. They have worked fine in the wet so far (only a couple of days, it's summer after all). My only real complaint is that the aluminum is much noisier than plastic fenders, it rattles and shakes, even with all the bolts tightened well.

Durable and well designed to be strong.

These keep the rain off and fit right. I have dropped my bike a few times hitting the side mounting wires and fenders but they did not bend or break. It is well made.

wet feet

Beautiful construction, appear initially to have great coverage. Unfortunately with any significant rain the beveled edges are not enough to keep side splash out, the rain flap bolts catch the stream of water going down the middle and spray sideways. I will be going back to planet bike brand.

Great durability and coverage!

After years of using plastic fenders from the other popular brands and seeing them break after ~1 year of use, I decided to invest in these metal fenders. I've now been using them for daily commutes for 10,000+ miles and they are still going strong! In addition, I've even been on some mild singletrack and they did fine on the rough terrain and with the lack of cushion from my skinny 28mm road tires.

too rattlely and shaky

Would be better if the attachment brackets were thicker gauge steel instead of just a mm, too shaky and would rub on tires because of this, and would repeatedly bend out of place. I could probably make an improved bracket it for it myself, but for over 100 dollars, I shouldn’t have to.
