Warm and Dry
Great gloves for my 3y/o! They are definitely on the large side for her, but more room to grow. After an hours of snow play her hands stayed more dry and warmer than everything else on her body. For size reference her hand measured at 5" length (which is the low end of the glove size) and they are definitely too big. But like I said they keep her hands warm and dry and she loves them too.
Comfortable gloves
Warm and comfortable gloves. My hands were dry all day! Size XL kids fits a size XS or S adult.
Great for small adult hands.
Five stars for fit. I have petite women’s hands and got a L. Fit great!
Nice glove
Nice glove for kid. Little difficult to figure out sizing. Son who is seven years old and average build and height took a small size. He says it keeps his hands warm.
Did Not Keep My Child’s Hands Warm or Dry in Snow
We purchased these winter gloves from REI for my son, expecting them to keep his hands warm and dry during normal snow play. Unfortunately, they did not perform as expected. Anytime the gloves came into contact with snow, moisture could be felt on the inside. Moisture continued to build up and ice crystals repeatedly formed inside the gloves, even after stopping multiple times to remove them. His hands became very cold, and he developed visible cold rings around his wrists, which was concerning as a parent. These gloves were not inexpensive, and for children’s winter gloves intended for snow conditions, I expected better waterproofing and insulation. I did reach out to customer support for guidance, but assistance was declined. I’m sharing this so other parents can make informed decisions when purchasing winter gloves for their children. I would be willing to update this review if the issue is addressed.
