Nice design but not always practical
A nice looking design and functional to the extent of its limitations. If you have fat tires, the groove is too narrow to accommodate those tires. This will cause the tires to miss the groove if you are not careful and your bike will fall. When loading a heavy bike, it proves to be a bit unstable and may end up compromising the stability of its set up. Our bikes are in the 60 Lb range and are not sure we will keep these as they may fall apart. I will be designing and building a ramp that will be able to handle a heavy bike.
perfect for ebikes
I originally purchased another brand rack, but it did not work on bikes with long fenders. I purchased this rack, and it works perfectly allows connection to seat post or frame very sturdy. The only negatives I have is for the price the ramp should be included although it is still easy to load, and the rack design should be done to allow the rack to fold up behind the vehicle like most racks reducing the space it sticks out from behind the vehicle. The rack sticks out pretty far when attached to vehicle. All in all, I would recommend this rack!
Does not work with the Thule T2 Pro bike rack
I bought this to use with my new Thule T2 Pro XTR 2-Bike Hitch Rack. It does not work with this bike rack. Maybe I missed that somewhere in the description, but I don't think so.
A real help!
I drive an Escalade so this extended ramp is definitely a help in loading my ebike. I am a lady of 79 and the bike is heavy so I still need help to "drive" it up the ramp but without the extended ramp the bike would have to be lifted onto the carrier.
Perfect length
After purchasing the Thule Easy Fold rack, we found the ramp was to short to easily load our Pedego Boomerangs so we purchased the longer ramps and they work great. Can load and unload even by myself.
This is a big NO for an E-Mountain Bike.
This is Flimsy. Does not fit a Mountain Bike Tire well and bends to an almost breaking point with an E-Bike. They need to rethink this design.
Loading made easy
This is awesome for loading bikes especially heavier e assist bikes!!! Thank good these are around.
Extended ramp
Makes loading bikes much easier when in an SUV. Not such an uphill load.
