Great remote for great price

I'm surprised there are no other reviews for this dropper remote. It's a genuine Shimano 1x remote. Metal construction. It also has a spring, so very consistent feel. Comes with nice cables and housing. Works perfectly with PNW cascade dropper. All at half the price of other 1x remotes. The only problem is the grip needs to be taken off the handlebars to mount, but not a big issue.

Hands down, the best deal for a dropper remote

Bought this for my kid's PNW Fern Dropper... This remote has got to be the best deal and best remote for droppers with external routing. The reason being, the lever has a return spring, and doesn't rely on the return spring in the dropper, which tend to have a lot of extra friction, due to the string that routes down the post internally (causing a slight delay in the return of the remote)... This does a great job of mitigating that delay, now the post stays down/locks as soon as you take your finger off the lever!

You won't find better even for 2x the price

Have to try and offset the crazy 1 star review here. This is an excellent remote that easily compares more expensive options. Easy to install, excellent Optislick cable, smooth medium/light action, and the rebound spring keeps it nice and tensioned. I run one on my bike and just installed one my son's bike to replace some no-name garbage. Night and day difference.

Cost Effective Dropper Lever

Great lever at great price. Comes with a cable and housing - which isn't obvious in online description. Well made, better than plastic levers and I can't see how levers that cost $20 or more can be that much better.

Not enough cable pull to actuate my dropper post (TransX.) Pinch bolt threads got stripped while adjusting and now it is completely unusable. I thought I would save some money buying this instead of the more expensive options out there, but I just threw my money away.

Functional though not ergonomic

This is my 3rd dropper lever and it is a functional part but the thumb area is not very flat and is awkward to depress regardless of positioning. I would recommend something with a flatter area for your thumb.

Smooth no fuss lever

A smooth no fuss remote lever. It has a spring inside, which makes it smoother than some of the other which just rely on a screw pivot. Solidly made Shimano quality, not flimsy or flexy.
