Good lights to install on helmet.
Great lights - very bright. I installed them on my helmet and they haven’t come off like others have complained
Perfect for daily commuting
I bought these lights in June of 2021 and use them almost every day when riding into work (6 mile trip each way.) They work wonderfully and I would recommend purchasing them if you have a similar cycling situation or if you have lots of access to a USB charger if you’re away from home. A full charge seems to go a longer way in the warmer months than colder ones (just like a cell phone) but on average I’d say that I can go about 4 morning commutes before needing a re-charge (front light.)The rear light lasts at least a couple of weeks because I run it using the blinking light setting. In all, I think it’s a good value and have had no problems with this product.
Awesome value
Awesome value, you can spend more for less. I bought 2, so I have another bike I bought 2 more. I go for walks in the morning I bought 2 more.
Good light bad mount system
I got one for Christmas and the mount system comes loose every time. Lost first one, got another and the rubber attachement to handle bar is tight upon mount but the prong that goes thru the band does not stay tight and have lost another one. I love the brightness and size and aero but this mounting system SUCKS. I have other lights and flasher and no issue only with this product
90 year old likes Planet Bike Lights
I like these lights - not for a bicycle but for my trekking poles. I am 90 yrs old and use my poles inside and out - so attach the lights to the poles because I want cars, bikers, people to see me because I may not see them coming at me. So these fit on the poles very well
Convenient, but a bit awkward to charge
These lights are small and convenient. The control button is easy to use. They attach to your bike with a built in elastic cord fitted with a small post and multiple holes. They don’t seem too powerful, but are likely strong enough to be seen if not to illuminate the way ahead brightly. Note that the manufacturer recommends charging them via USB after each use. Only one cord comes with the lights so without another cord, they have to be charged sequentially. I have followed that recommendation and not tested to see how long they will last on a charge. They say that depends on whether you use the constant or the blinking mode.
Good lights, ruined by a terrible mounting system
Bought these lights on a Wednesday; by Friday, the fastener had fallen off and got lost in the road. The lights were fiddly to get on the bike even at the best of times, and would have been impossible to mount while wearing gloves or even with cold hands. Avoid these lights if you have to install and remove your lights with any frequency.
Short product life
These were fine while the lasted. Almost immediately, the on/off button cover stayed depressed but that did not affect the function. The charge would hold with use and time. But with no warning, they simply stop charging at all. After using on short urban rides twice a week, the headlight lasted 3 months. The taillight lasted maybe 6 months. Now learning that I love night riding, and trusting myself to remove them from the bike to prevent theft, I'm ready to invest in something with a longer warranty.
Decent lights, terrible mounts
The lights themselves are ok but the mounting strap is borderline useless. The lights constantly slip and move out of place unless you really tighten the strap. In doing so you run the risk of it breaking. Pretty bad. Never had a problem with the older non rechargeable version.
