bad binding
bad sole; have owned boots 4 years, used about 15 times on groomed trails and bottom of both boots cracked and the bar/ binding pulled off one boot, now not usable. I am not a beginner skier and don't fall much, ie not much trauma to the boots
Solid Boot
I bought these for the 2021/22 season. Put about two weeks of skiing in them and several days off of groomed trails in the woods around my home. Zero issues. Only complaint would be that the Velcro strap sticks out kind of far when I crank them down. They don’t come unstuck just looks a little tacky I guess. Been out in single digits temps and they kept my feet warm. Overall I am happy with them. Solid boot so far. Excited for the 22/23 season. Pray for snow!!!!
Junk
Two sets of boots - mine and my wife’s. The zipper broke on my boot after perhaps six days of skiing. The next week the soles separated from the top of the boot on the other pair. Looking at that boot you can see the poor coverage of the adhesive. Definitely not recommended.
What do you mean you don't sell a compatable bindi
Boot seems good, as I've worn it in the house and like the feel and ankle support, unfortunately REI doesn't sell a compatable binding that fits the boot they sell. What's up with that??? I now need to search for a binding from another location/website (hope I get the right one), and now I need to find someone to mount them on my ski after we remove the other bindings I don't like that fit the boots I have which keep having construction issues. Maybe I'll return them and go somewhere else so I may do one stop shopping.
Solid boots, great fit.
Pretty decent boots. Not a huge amount of support but then they're mostly for groomed/track use. They fit great, the primary reason I bought them--rented some that fit great so when I found these at a good price I jumped.
Boot worth the cost
Great boot. Finally my feet are no longer getting cold. Highly recommend
Base of boot and tip cracked and pulled off
Junk; purchase boots 4 yrs ago, have used 3 times per year since then, bottom of boot cracked on both boots and tip/ binding of one boot tore off completely. I am not a beginner skier, ie minimal falls. This is a significant defect.
Good boot with a caveat
Good boot overall, wider in the toe than Solomon which I had used for decades. I miss the quick tie laces a lot so it does not get five stars, hand tied laces require double knots which is inconvenient and unnecessary given that the other is quite common on most XC boots.
