Don't listen to other reviews -snow shoes DO fit

I rarely write reviews, but am writing this one to clarify some incorrect reviews that state the snow shoes do not fit in this bag. They are not meant to go IN the bag. They are meant to strap onto the outside of the bag, allowing you to use the inside of the bag like a normal backpack. The backpack fits a decent amount of gear. I had a full 3L reservoir in the reservoir slot and then had a puffer coat, a shell coat, waterproof pants, heavy gloves, a foam seat, gators, and a buff in the backpack. I probably could have fit a snack too if I compressed more. The shoulder straps and waist straps are the bare minimum of straps (no cushion for added comfort), but presumably, one is wearing layers that serve as cushion if they are in a snowy environment. The snow shoes strap on the pack easily, even with the backpack stuffed full. For the price point I think the pack is fair and serves it's purpose. I would love to see a better pack with the snow shoe straps and waist band pouches, even if it were to cost more.

Good for North Pole Elf snowshoes- nothing else

I bought this to fit the lightening MSA snowshoes, only to find that the bag is waaaaayy to small to fit the snowshoes it is said to fit. One would be better off using a grocery sack, absolutely a rip off to sell a "snowshoe" bag that does fit said snowshoes unless it is the ones that the elves wear in the North pole. Further the straps are made out of seat belt straps, no padding whatsoever. Complete junk. Hard NOOOOOO

ONLY 22" EVO showshoes fit.

ONLY 22" EVO showshoes fit. This is meant for the shoes to be strapped outside the bag and the poles in toggle elastic side mounts. IN NO WAY is this for airline travel. Straps aren't padded. MSR needs to make an airline-check-in snowshoe/pole bag. Pretty useless. See picture.

really good product

I bought this shoe shoe bag about 3 months ago and I love it. The bag has plenty of room to fit 22 inch snow shoes inside the bag. Outside the bag you can strap on 30 inch shoes. I used this bag on 4 extensive shoe shoe hikes. No issues with it.

Weak for MSR

I expected more from MSR. This pack is disappointing. The shoulder straps are thin and not even a little comfortable. Feels cheap. Does NOT fit 22"" shoes as advertised. Not even with the roll top all the way up. Even then, trying to force my Evo Ascent felt like it would rip the thin fabric. I otherwise love MSR and Ian a considerable amount of their gear. But this bag is a complete dud. Whoever designed and approved this bag should be warned about doing this again.

Poor Execution

I find the bag uncomfortable, doesn't hold the shoes very well, doesn't hold the poles at all (they fell out with little to no effort several times), has no way to successfully mount a water bladder inside even though it has a port for the tube, and is generally not very useful for carrying even small amounts of gear. I will be looking for a different bag for this purpose as this one falls way short.

Carry Pack

It's a good way to store your gear for your next adventure, but with the snowshoes strapped in you can't pack much of anything in the bag until you take the snowshoes off. Also, the straps are really basic and not very comfortable for an afternoon up on the mountain. Nice concept, but best used for storage and to get your gear to the trail. Not to be used on the trail.

Works well with some caveats

This pack will fit nothern lites race wave snowshoes packed inside, foam padding between the crampons included for both shoes. Nothern lites race wave is 20.5 inches long. The roll top will roll another 3-4 times before you get it to close. With snowshoes inside, it will fit a compressible 750 ml water bottle, some food, and a hooded outerwear shell.

Confortable

Merci. Tank you for your Carry Pack.

Lousy little backpack

I thought that the bag would be able to accommodate my snowshoes, but it’s not really good for carrying much of anything.
