Nearly a toss-up between this and DeLorme
I ended up buying this versus the DeLorme Wyoming Atlas & Gazetteer. I own the DeLorme versions of the Colorado and Utah maps and the Benchmark Maps versions of Idaho, Montana and now Wyoming. All are excellent. There were some minor differences that caused me to favor this over the DeLorme such as the topography being a little easier to see visually, extra detail of adjacent states on exterior sections (i.e. Idaho border - who wants to pull out a whole new map to see what's a mile or two across the border), and of course the extra written details that Benchmark Maps include in the first section which could prove helpful eventually if I ever need it. What I do like about the DeLorme is that national forests, wilderness, BLM areas etc. are more clearly marked on their maps. I appreciate such information but I am more interested in good visual topography. I usually buy the National Geographic Trails Illustrated maps for specific backcountry areas and as they provide clearly marked wilderness regions I don't usually need that in my state atlases. I will caveat this review by saying I rarely need to use my state atlases so I cannot be certain the DeLorme version wouldn't ultimately prove more useful. Bottom line is I don't think one would be at a serious disadvantage choosing DeLorme over Benchmark Maps or vice versa.

Don't Leave Home Without Road and Recreation Atlas
I have all of the Benchmark road atlases covering the western states. I left my WY atlas at home when I went on road trip a couple weeks ago, so had to purchase a new copy. All of the Atlases are useful and informative. I highly recommend.
