Compared 4 Packs - this pack won

LOVE this pack. I ordered 4 backpacks to choose between for a 2-week trip abroad. The 3 others I was comparing this one to were the: Osprey Fairview 55 Travel Pack - Women's, REI Co-op Ruckpack 40 Recycled Pack - Women's, and Patagonia Black Hole® MLC® 44L. This is the pack I ended up choosing because of the super smart integrated packing cube design. The interior of the pack has several mesh zip compartments for shoes, clothes, etc. It's super user-friendly and I like that I can open the pack without things being lose/falling out. Osprey and Patagonia packs were let downs (Osprey: too much going on, annoying zippers/buckles, confusing overall. Patagonia: design not practical for lots of clothes, toiletries, etc.). REI pack was a tie for first - it's a great pack, but I ended up choosing this one for the organization. Just a great pack overall. I do wish Cotopaxi made this in a women's specific version because the straps are a little large on me and cut into my shoulders, and the hip belt isn't angled the correct way for female anatomy. Since I won't be walking more than a couple miles at a time with it on, I think it'll be fine.

Great features, but not durable vinyl material

I purchased this pack for a trip to the Galapagos. It was terrific, and fit everything I needed for the week. On the way there I took it as a carry-on, and i easily stored it in the overhead compartment. However, on the way home I checked it, and after only one trip through checked luggage it has deep scratches through the vinyl-like material on the front of the pack. I’m really disappointed, as it was a terrific bag for organization and travel ease. However, if one trip through the airport damaged it so much, it’s not worth the $200+.

Amazing pack

This thing is huge. The pictures online don’t do justice. There’s so many zippers and compartments to it. I was kinda worried it wouldn’t have enough spots for what I wanted to do. Boy was I wrong! Got it today and soon as I opened it I realized I definitely made the right call picking this over another brand that was recommended to me. Love the size love the colors love individual sections and the easy access zippers and multiple was you can carry this bad boy.

Very Close to the Perfect Bag

This backpack is awesome! High quality construction, tons of space, smart design everywhere, and easily configurable. The only reason I'm rating 4 stars instead of 5 is that the laptop sleeve doesn't fit my 14in laptop. I think the sleeve is supposed to be used for a 12in tablet, with a phone pouch sewed in next to it that blocks a larger laptop. But I have no use for a phone pouch (there's plenty of other spots in the bag for a phone), and could really use the full laptop sleeve! Only part of the bag I don't like, and you can work around it by just leaving your laptop in the compartment where the sleeve is (see pictures).

So far so good

I really like this bag but and am disappointed it didn’t survive its first flight without the rubber getting scraped off in a couple places. Otherwise, it holds a lot, is easy to pack with packing compression bags and is very easy and comfortable to carry. I am just 5’4 and 120# and it is comfortable especially with the load lifters.

It’s perfect

Getting ready for a 22 day cruise and extended stay. How to travel light but bring everything you need 🤔. I researched this pack and identified it as the most versatile and portable carry on. Upon first trial pack and short hike to assess comfort ….. I can say so far it exceeds my expectations in every way.

I am beyond pleased with its quality! The craftsmanship is top-notch, with perfect terminations that speak to its durability. Not only does it feel sturdy, but it also features well-designed compartments that are ideal for organizing my gear. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliability and style in one package!

Great quality and style

The ability to convert my bag into different styles was worth the price . I have never owned traditional luggage, the 42L is the perfect in-between travel bag it’s very spacious while still being able to carry it on the plane. I would recommend this bag to avid travelers..

Love the organization, needs more back support

Pros: Love the organization of the bag — was able to do away with packing cubes and keep everything very organized. Pockets are deeper than they look and loved that there’s a secret ish compartment as well. Grab handles feel very well made and secure as well. Cons: found the back support to be fairly insufficient even with the waist/chest/loading straps set correctly when the bag was fully loaded with clothes (30ish lbs). Vinyl also ended up scuffed on the first trip, and decals are peeling off after a couple of months. Would have hoped for better vinyl/decals for a $220 ish bag.

Backpacker’s dream!

I recently went on a 4 day hiking trip in Hawaii and let me say, I am so glad I chose this backpack. The separating pockets on the inside made it so much easier to find specific items, especially while staying in a hostel and trying to find your items in the dark during quiet hours. I loved the durability of the outer shell and how it protected my items. The outer pocket was great for keeping a beach towel, my sunglasses and my wallet in. I used it as a carryon on the plane and had no trouble fitting it in the overhead bins.
