Almost exactly what I expected
The rope itself is more or less what I expected: thick, pretty stiff, appears to be pretty burly. The sheath is white and the weave is coarse so I would be concerned about it getting visibly very dirty as well as grit working its way into the fibers eventually. I've owned and used various PMI static lines over the years and they have always held up to the kinds of uses I applied them to, mostly TR anchors etc. I like mammut static ropes for actual climbing purposes. Bendier. Unfortunately I am unable to review the practical use of this rope as my 20ft order arrived in 3ft lengths, so one star off for the fact I can't review the use of this item. Unless somebody has an idea for 6 3ft lengths of rather stiff rope (I fear there may still be a 2-footer on the way). The current plan is to weave them into some sort of toy for a friend's dog. Or maybe a very small rug? I try to be environmentally conscious so I have some concerns about the many little boxes this rope arrived in and the associated packaging. I won't be returning it because it's just a few dollars relative to the resource costs and really, why tempt the universe's sense of humor any further? Perhaps the most important thing to note here is that if you are ordering this, do not assume that the poor guy reading the order knows anything about climbing, caving, what have you and make some kind of note on the order that you'd really prefer your rope in one piece. The great irony here is I actually just wanted 5-6ft to practice knot tying but felt bad about ordering so little. I planned to cut that much off and use the rest for anchors. Sadly this rope isn't bendy enough to tie anything worth practicing in a 3ft length. Such is life.

Not what I thought for what I needed
I bought 2 10ft sections of rope to practice tying knots before I go to Level 1 BSA COPE training next month. I thought getting used to tying knots with a thicker rope would aid me. This rope is stiff. Even after tying some knots: Bowline, Figure 8, Figure 8 on a bite, stopper knots, water knot, etc. For the reason I bought bought this rope is why the low rating: knot tying practice. I cannot honestly write a review for actual COPE, Climbing, etc usage.

As expected but box not sealed

Ordered 100 feet and got it as 1 rope thankfully. Ends were melted with a straggling melted thread. The box bottom was not sealed though which was concerning, it just had the flaps folded over themselves as you might a moving box... Note: if you're trying to use a discount code you need to call to have it applied to the entire item and not a single 1 foot unit of your multiple foot/quantity order.

Exactly as Expected

Bought 1x50 feet of 11mm static rope. Received 1x50 of 11mm static rope, exactly as ordered. My primary use for this length is setting up highly durable extended top rope anchors. Strong, durable, and static. Makes knots just fine as long as you’re keeping in mind that the bends don’t come as easily on an 11mm static rope. If you’re looking for supple, then you shouldn’t be looking at 11mm static rope.

Good rope

This rope has been holding up nicely for me. I use it to tether myself as I approach a cliff and to build top rope anchors. It works with a grigri (just barely)

Very stiff, difficult rope

A year later - 2nd review. - This is just a difficult rope to work with. I had hoped that the rope would loosen up after usage, but it hasn't. It remains very stiff and tangles easily. This may be an adequate caving roping if you are using a belay rack, but it does not work well with a gri-gri, and it's even difficult to rappel on with a figure 8.

Not idea for our uses.

I purchased this rope to use as a rappel line at a summer camp, however the 11mm is too thick for our needs and it isn't easy to bend. The rope has a hard time feeding through ATC's for rappels and makes tying a releasable rappel difficult.

Very stiff rope

Very very stiff for climbing. I thought it would loosen up with use, bit it never did. Hard to top rope belay with grip-gri due to stiffness. I will now be using it for a rappel rope and anticipate it being good for that use.
