These are gloves disguised as mittens. I returned them as I need the body heat that a mitten provides. There are unremovable finger inserts inside, just like a glove.
I loved the gloves as they can keep my hands very warm and very comfy to wear when they are dry. But they are not waterproof, which is very disappointing. I hiked with the gloves in the White Mountains; when the snow got on the surface of the gloves of the palm side, although I kept getting rid of the snow, the remained little snow melt gradually and the water got in from the palm side. Then the gloves were damp/wet inside and my hands got cold. The 3 stars given to the gloves' performance when they are dry.
Loved this mittens with finger channels; exactly what I was looking for. They work great; keep my fingers warm. Be sure to measure your hand before ordering. I usually take a small but needed a medium. True to the chart.
I’ve been looking for a pair of mittens with built in gloves to increase warmth and these are perfect. They are long enough at the wrists that they keep the wind out. I’m really happy with them!
Purchased these for a hiking trip to Capitol Reef National Park. Around 10 degrees most mornings and these kept my hands ‘just right’ warm. True to size.
I give these mittens my highest review. Love the interior glove inside of the mitten. Outside also love the little pocket for handwarmers on the top of the mitten. Has skied with him twice, and my hands have been toasty.
I was nervous about these mittens having finger separaters inside, however, I was pleasantly surprised that they kept my hands relatively warm. Due to a severe case of Raynaud's, my hands are always cold but these kept me comfortable. I will see how they are with hand warmer's on my next cold day.
Decently warm but definitely not waterproof. Was on the mountain with about 15 minutes of drizzle/light snow and the inside of the mittens were entirely damp. Before the precipitation they did keep me warm, just don't expect them to work when its not fully dry out
I have another pair of these which were hiding in my car. As it was supposed to get very cold, I looked for another pair of mittens. I like the pockets for reusable warmers and sometimes my hands actually get too warm. I had thought of getting an extra pair of mittens and I might have gotten one wear I could wear a separate pair of gloves (of course mine appeared-where I had looked shortly before-after I ordered these. Still, I like them and so am not disappointed to have another/extra pair.
Kept my fingers warm and toasty while hiking in 32°, windy and overcast day.
