Beautiful, comfortable shoe

This is a sweet cycling shoe, but the somewhat high 'tongue' (is it still a tongue if it's all one sewn-in piece?) was uncomfortable for my left foot. SIZING NOTE: I'm normally a 39, but ordered 40s in the five cycling shoes I tried because of my wide foot. Of all the shoes, this Shimano seemed most true-to-size (i.e., I think my usual 39 would've worked).

Boa is great but heel is too wide

I was excited to find a bike shoe with a wider toe box after switching all my active shoes to that style. However, the heel on this is also wide and I found myself almost slipping out on a ride. The Boa system is great for distributing pressure but I couldn’t get it tight enough (and the next size down was too small). The quality is ok - I think the shoes would be very worn after a season. I ended up returning these shoes.

not recommended

I bought them last year after my specialized shoes finally wore out. I didn’t start using this pair until late this year and started to notice they make my feet go numb. It was too late for me to return since I didn’t realize it until a month after the year anniversary. They are also not best for getting in and out of the show especially when trying to transition in a tri race.

Amazing

Shoe size don’t match so try them on in the store first, as you’ll need to size up. But otherwise these are amazing!
