Obermeyer  Tuscany II Insulated Jacket - Women's Petite Sizes

What a FANTASTIC jacket!! I'm a tiny, petite woman (just under 4'10" and 80 lbs - I normally wear a size 0 or 2 in most clothing) and this jacket fits me PERFECTLY! I originally purchased a 2P in this style and it fit great, but felt there wasn't enough room for some layers in the coldest NJ winter weather so I got the 4P which which is just right!! This jacket is made beautifully - the faux fur hood trim snaps on and off with ease, the jacket is soft, flexible, and water repellent and the zippers are awesome - gliding up & down quickly & smoothly with no chance of snagging fabric! I love this jacket - it's perfect!!

I originally purchased this in a petite 4, military green but it was just a little too fitted for an extra layer to wear underneath comfortably for me. I order a petite 6 in black because the military green was not available and it fit really well. I’m 5’2” and am 127 Lbs. and I do have a curvy athletic build. I’m a 32 D in the bust line and I have a little thicker arms than some and that is why I sized up. I’m really grateful for the option of petite sizing because it’s nice to have clothes fit proportionately for one’s body. I gave it a 4 because I haven’t yet gone skiing in it but it is very warm even just going on walks on the cold mornings in Bend,Oregon.

Got the flower pattern. Super cute. Fits perfectly. EXCEPT, when I put the hood up over my helmet, it pulls the rest of the jacket up and is awkward and uncomfortable. :( So, I need to return. Too cold where I ski for this to be ignorable. Sadness. Note: my daughter has a kids one and upon questioning, she said hers is also uncomfortable with hood up (and that for her this doesn’t matter as she doesn’t use the hood, lol). This coat also does not have the convenience of the outside reach-in pocket across the chest, which I knew when I bought. Turns out, I miss it. :)

I adore this jacket. It's so hard to find one that works with my short torso and doesn't hang down too far to make sitting or driving awkward, and this one is a dream. I bought this in a size 8 last winter when I was a size 4-6 and even though I'm now a size 2 the jacket still fits perfectly. I would definitely go up one size to allow for layering; I can comfortably wear a cable knit sweater under this for very cold days, or just a regular shirt and still be warm enough for most of winter. Still in perfect condition!

So pleased with this purchase!!! It's nearly impossible to find warm outerwear in petite sizes, so when I came across this brand I got really excited. I wore this jacket for my trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the fall and it kept me so warm and comfy, even on a long horseback ride up to the glaciers. The fit is true to size, perhaps size up if you want to use multiple bulky layers underneath. Unlike other reviewers I think the hood is great! Large enough for full coverage over your head with a knit cap, and removable if you like. If I had to take a portion of a star off for anything it was that the one that I purchased was still a bit long in the sleeves--they felt like the exact same length as the regular size. Could've been just my coat, and it's not enough of an issue for me to exchange it. Finally, animal welfare and ecological factors are major influences in all my purchases. No down filling, they used synthetic material instead (which works great!), and at least part of the jacket is made from recycled materials. On top of all this, the jacket is cute and stylish! I bought the green and am just in love with it. Well done, Obermeyer!!!

I got this in red, size 4 petite. It is a very good looking coat. I love that it has hidden pockets, and features to keep the cold from slipping under the coat, or under the sleeves. It is not down, so I do think there are warmer coats out there, but if I wear a fuzzy layer underneath I’m good to go.

The coat itself is great. It is warm and as flexible as a sweatshirt, which is helpful when you are birding and are juggling binoculars and camera equipment. The only issue I have is with the hood. It seems a little too easy to detach and cold air seeps in a bit around the back of the neck when windy.

REI rarely has any petite clothing and I love that this fits perfectly. I wish there were more petite clothing like this. Love the fit. It keeps me nice and warm and also love all the pockets in the jacket as it comes in handy.

Looove this jacket! I purchased this in the bright blue color and absolutely adored it. It went well with plain black snow pants and was super warm for a day of skiing. I purchased a size 10 and typically wear a S or M in tops. I had a little room for another layer, but the jacket definitely runs small. Love the touch of the fur hood.
