Don't buy if you like the earlier model
I have an older pair of these that were wonderful. I am shorter and older, so I prefer a drawstring waist in my hiking pants so that I can get a comfortable, flexible, fit. These have that and I love the material. Unfortunately, Patagonia has gone the way of everyone else and assumed that if you need a wider waist, then you must also have big thighs. Don't think these designers are older women. This new cut has much wider legs and are too long. So sad, going to have to send them back.
Disappointed
I have a pair of these , size large, from a couple of years ago and love them . I ordered these new ones in a large and found them loose and saggy, so I exchanged them for a medium and they are uncomfortably tight all over. For two hundred bucks I want pants that fit.
Patagonia Wind Shield Pants
I love the Patagonia Wind Shield pants and jacket sets, they are water repellent, great in warmer weather as well as cooler weather. I purchased 2 sets last year in my normal size, but the pants I ordered this year are cut a little smaller, I exchanged for the next size up a little baggy in the hips but still great pants.
Not for tall or kinda tall women
These fit baggy and are short (I’m 5’9, 140, ordered medium). Glad I got them on sale. Haven’t decided if I’ll return them or not.
